I've eaten here several times. The food is above average for the area. The menu is a little pricey, which is why I can't become a regular. Not many people show up for lunch. Formerly, the place, under the same owner had a name like "Spaghetti Factory" or some such. Regardless, the food is tasty.

I've been going here for over 10 years, back when it was the Pasta Factory too, and the food and service has always been outstanding! They used to have this amazing fresh baked bread with this awesome crushed garlic dipping sauce, and now they have this amazing fresh baked bread with this amazing chimichurri type sauce, I could drink that... Parking is a bit difficult, food is tasty, but nothing outstanding. Customer service is unpredictable. Casual dining for mid-range prices, and an adequate place to take young children.

First, this place changed its name to Macchi's Bistro more than a year before the date of this review. I've been to Italy many times; the food here doesn't measure up. That's offset at least partially by the clean surroundings, subdued décor, and excellent service. So, service gets a 5/5; food gets a 3/5.

The aroma from the sidewalk pulled us in! Don't you just love restaurants that provide you with freshly baked still warm bread and seasoned olive oil for dipping. The restaurant actually just changed name as Macchi's Bistro. But this is all what change as I can see. I orderred the cheese and onion Tapas, but that was just a greacy snack. A neighborhood favorite in the Marina del Rey, Venice area for all! Love their home baked bread delivered to your table hot with the super garlic/olive dipping sauce!! Great chopped salad ..and consistent ..fairly basic but good ...pastas and pizzas!! My friends are always craving the garlic bread and house chianti!

Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
