I have been going to Hamburger Hamlet since I was a kid and though it has changed over the years as the owners have changed, it is still a great place to eat. Great menu. Service and atmosphere are good. Definitely one of our haunts when we are in LA.

I realize we were in a family group, which can be difficult, but a minor meat substitution, and one separate check does not seem to be too much to ask. I guess when the tip is included with a group check, the waitress doesn't have to care.

We actually ate at the Hamburger Hamlet in Pasadena after the Rose Bowl parade. Don't be fooled by the name: this place was posh. The booths were leather, the tables were mahogany, the napkins linen. The food was amazing. We had a limited menu. One of our lunch companions had the chicken sandwich, which she didn't recommend. The chicken was... More

The burgers are great, the fries crispy and tasty, and when you go ask for a plate of "those potatoes." They are not on the menu any more but they still make them and they are well worth the trip all by themselves.

I went to Hamburger Hamlet a lot when I was growing up in L.A. so going there again after many years is very nostalgic. So I had to have the lobster bisque and it is even better than I remember it. I ate every bit of the bowl serving which was huge. I also used to have the spinach and... More

Growing up in L.A., Hambuger Hamlet was a favorite. Visiting this month, had to make a stop there. Had the Stella...a great value that included a cup of their famous french onion soup, half a sandwich and a small salad. Very filling, very tasty! The entire menu has all sorts of options for every taste and their burgers are still... More

Was in the area and needed a place to eat. Had the caliente burger with fries. Tasted great. But the service was slow. Took a long time to get my ice tea and refills. Place was empty so it wasn't because there were lots of tables to wait. Maybe just an off day. Took long to get our food and... More

Although ample spaces are available, it's hard to figure out the parking unless you've been there before... HH is an old favorite in our family. Their french onion soups are the best anywhere and their happy hour prices are affordable for everyone who's watching their budget.

It looked like the place was really hopping in the 50's and could have been a real classy joint, but the food is super plain for the price of it, and the service is not very good

The onion soup fondu is really delicious. Happy hour is a good idea. But hamburgers at hamburger hamlet are not on the happy hour menu? Flemmings has the best happy hour burger for 6.00 served with onion rings and small salad. Common hamlet!
