Description: We wish to welcome you to The Hamburger Hamlet! Like many of us who grew up in Los Angeles, The Hamburger Hamlet played a significant role in our friends and families lives. From dinner in Westwood before seeing a movie, to Sunday Brunch in Brentwood, The Hamburger Hamlet was always a home away from home known for simply marvelous food & drink. Our memories include watching a very dapper man named Harry Lewis go table to table greeting his guests or seeing Marilyn Lewis working with the staff and attending to the guests needs. Still fresh in our memories is our favorite burger paired with a Haagen-Dazs shake, the famous lobster bisque and the apricot chicken wings. So inspired by what The Hamburger Hamlet represented, that when we had the opportunity to take over such a historic brand, we could not resist the chance to bring it back to the proud tradition and foundation created by your former hosts, Harry and Marilyn Lewis and pay our respects to what they achieved. Welcome back! Your Hosts Kevin Michaels and Brett Doherty

I wish there were more Hamburger Hamlets. So many have been shut down. I thought they had been but then saw this one. Same flavorful beef, same wonderful burger.

After a much needed hiatus from a lousy menu and bad food we returned to an old favorite. The Hamburger Hamlet had been a staple for good food, fantastic service and a nostalgic menu. After years of crowded lunches and hopes for a friday night table the Hamlet restaurant chain practically vanished. The ones that remained were tired and the... More

Once upon a time... Hamburger hamlets were all over Los Angeles, but in the past few years they have slowly been disappearing! Well, this location reopened and it's just as good as before, and in some ways maybe better. I spoke to the GM and the owner, both of whom introduced themselves to our party and they were friendly and... More

I have been going to Hamburger Hamlet since I was a kid and though it has changed over the years as the owners have changed, it is still a great place to eat. Great menu. Service and atmosphere are good. Definitely one of our haunts when we are in LA.

I realize we were in a family group, which can be difficult, but a minor meat substitution, and one separate check does not seem to be too much to ask. I guess when the tip is included with a group check, the waitress doesn't have to care.

We actually ate at the Hamburger Hamlet in Pasadena after the Rose Bowl parade. Don't be fooled by the name: this place was posh. The booths were leather, the tables were mahogany, the napkins linen. The food was amazing. We had a limited menu. One of our lunch companions had the chicken sandwich, which she didn't recommend. The chicken was... More

The burgers are great, the fries crispy and tasty, and when you go ask for a plate of "those potatoes." They are not on the menu any more but they still make them and they are well worth the trip all by themselves.

I went to Hamburger Hamlet a lot when I was growing up in L.A. so going there again after many years is very nostalgic. So I had to have the lobster bisque and it is even better than I remember it. I ate every bit of the bowl serving which was huge. I also used to have the spinach and... More

Growing up in L.A., Hambuger Hamlet was a favorite. Visiting this month, had to make a stop there. Had the Stella...a great value that included a cup of their famous french onion soup, half a sandwich and a small salad. Very filling, very tasty! The entire menu has all sorts of options for every taste and their burgers are still... More

Was in the area and needed a place to eat. Had the caliente burger with fries. Tasted great. But the service was slow. Took a long time to get my ice tea and refills. Place was empty so it wasn't because there were lots of tables to wait. Maybe just an off day. Took long to get our food and... More
