We have visited this restaurant on several occasions on the evening before boarding a cruise ship and have always been impressed! Neil's has a traditional european feeling with an open fire place between the bar area and the dining room, vaulted, open beam cathedral ceilings and fresh linens on the tables. It is warm and inviting. The menu offers a... More

Neil's has consistently delicious seafood and pasta, but my personal favorites are the amazing homemade soups and the dipping sauce for the bread. The standout soup, in my opinion, is the pasta e fagioli. It is the best soup I've ever had anywhere: slightly rich and so very tasty. Wow, wow, wow. And the mascarpone cheese mixed into marinara sauce... More

We've been going to Neil's since before it became Neil's about 15 years ago. The previous owner and chef was not very good, but we had friends who liked the place. Since Neil took over the food is excellent. He's a master of cooking seafood. I rarely order anything but his pasta with seafood. Sometimes the chippino. His sauces are... More

We ate at Neil's over the busy July 4th weekend and it was a last minute decision so no reservations. We had a group of 6 and were treated very well. The food was good and we thought the service was excellent. It's one of the type of places we look for when we travel, not trendy or the latest... More

Have eaten in Neil's in San Pedro a number of times now and, each time, I got some really great Italian food with great service. I have also recommended this place to friends, who have had the same experience as I did. I get the impression that this place is now (deservedly) a bit of a local institution and it's... More

Great service, fine food in a comfortable setting. Came in for dinner before attending a performance at The Warner Grand, very close by. Very much enjoyed our dinner, especially the fresh fish. Nice wine list, great deserts. I really highly recommend this restaurant. Our first visit, but you know when you're still talking about it days later --- we'll be... More

This is an old-time restaurant that featues really good Italian food. Had dinner early March. I had the sanddabs, fresh, perfectly prepared. My wife had the chicken in a cream sauce with artichokes. Both dishes were very good. Service was outstanding. The waiter was great and the bus-person never let my water glass get lower than 75%. I highly recommend... More

My husband and I "accidentally" came across this restaurant while staying at the Crowne Plaza the night before our cruise from the harbor at San Pedro. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised. Fortunately we got there early in the evening. There was no one there and we were thinking it might not have been a good choice. By the time we... More

We tried this restaurant because of the good reviews so we were surprised with the quality of the food. The salad was weighed down with dressing, actually pooling at the bottom. The soup had a clump of undissolved flour. The pasta Sicilian and Sea Bass entrees were average. The green beans were overcooked to a limp and mushy consistency. The... More
