What a great restaurant

This place is to die for. The decor, the ambiance, and food quality. The kitchen is small and you can often see your meal being prepared in the open kitchen. The prime rib is to die for and is one of the best I have ever had in my life. The planes all throughout the premises are a good reminder... read more

It is a restaurant with museum of air history with some real old airplanes out doors. Special rooms for famous pioneers like McDonald Douglas, General Dolittle, Chenalts, etc. Service and food are quite good too.

My colleague and I were on our way to a business meeting but had time for lunch. As we drove by we noticed the aircraft displays and when I pointed out it was a restaurant my colleague almost did a ninety degree turn to pull in. She isn't one for aircraft but she knew I am. The building is a... More

Friends and family celebrated my aunt's 80th birthday in one of their banquet rooms. The food, service, staff, and ambience was SUPERB. Would definitely book another event there.

It has been several years since I last ate at the Proud Bird restaurant, virtually on the grounds of LAX. I was to meet with a colleague upon her arrival at LAX and needed to select a restaurant where we could eat and handle some business. Knowing the ideal location of the Proud Bird, I selected this restaurant and hoped... More

So this is close to LAX - have a nice fresh meal, watch the planes land and take off and take in the history of flight with photographic displays and a garden of vintage aircraft. Neat place!

Arrived for lunch to an extremely minimalist lunch menu of extremely overpriced reheated frozen food fare. Service utterly non-attentive for the expense. Food was at fast food level... Actually, we would have been better off going to fast food joint. An utter ripoff. I just kept apologizing the whole time to my diagruntled family who just flew in an wanted... More

This is a good place to have a steak and watch the airplanes land at LAX. Not a fantastic restaurant but pretty good steak place. Service has its ups and downs this visit it was up.

Is this a great restaurant or a special airplane museum or both? The food and service here is first rate. We had the early bird specials which included a choice of roast prime rib, chicken scaloppine, and Atlantic salmon. Soup or salad plus New York cheese cake for dessert is included. My prime rib came with mashed potatoes and fresh... More
