This may be the first time that I've disagreed with substantially all of the prior reviews of a restaurant. My wife and teenage sons visited Siamese Garden based on the strength of the prior reviews and the food was not worthy of the high ratings. The food took slightly longer than expected to arrive, although the service overall was adequate.... More

Found this place completely by accident walking around the canals. What a treat! Some of the best Thai food I've ever tasted (and I have actually been to Thailand). Should we find ourselves in LA again we would absolutely not hesitate to eat in here again.

Family visit to Venice beach. We found it by luck as we were walking around the venice channels. The tropical entrance invited us to come in. Delicious food, beautifully served showing love and care. The waitress was kind, the decoration (thai) was simple and it felt as a peace refuge from the rush and mixed energy of a sunny saturday... More

Green curry was really tasty. Really good is the chance to choose between white or brown rice. Pineapple fried rice and the beef with vegetable were amazing! We came 4 times in 3 days... Absolutely Recommended!!!!

Wonderful Thai food with great friendly service. Green curry was outstanding and vegetarian spring rolls were very good. Singha beer was cold and prices were reasonable.

Stopped in for drinks and a snack. Vegetable spring rolls were very tasty, temperature hot, and crisp with a nice sauce for dipping. The Singha beer was cold and refreshing. My friend enjoyed her Thai iced tea.

Terrific authentic food with a good variety of dishes. Some quiet tables for couples. Situated by the Venice Grand Canal and Washington. Great atmosphere and service.

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
