Best El Salvadoran food

The chicken tamales were moist and delicious- just melted in my mouth!! Papusas were also good. Really cheap- under $30 for 4 people!

We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is fresh, authentic, home made and delicious. Located near downtown in the Salvadoran community, it only lacks handicapped parking, but it is otherwise accessible.

Recently had lunch here with my sister and daughter. My sister was married to a Salvadorean and brought us here, she knows good food. The pupusa dough was so light and just right. We had the lorrocco, queso and queso and frijole pupusas. We also had the plantains with beans and creama. Everything was good as was the service. Try... More

One of the very best things about Los Angeles is not the glamorous celebrities, or the landmarks that are oh so familiar from TV and movies, or even the weather that is perfect every single day... ...its really digging deep, and finding amazing ethnic food and savoring every bite. I was in Los Angeles with a Salvadoran friend who was... More

I love this restaurant and order from here whenever I can. This is definitely worth a trip to Beverly and Berendo! Gorgeous pupusas and to die for fried chicken. The chicken is NOT breaded but is very crispy as though it was baked and tender and juicy and flavorful! They serve it with a wonderful rice, a small salad and... More

The cheese just oozes when you cut into the pupusas. They are delicious! Also ordered the fried yucca and pork dish. So yummy! I crave for this often. Lunch for 2 cost about twenty dollars after tips and tax.

The pupusas with loroco are so tasty. Loroco is a flower that tastes similar to asparagus. Be sure to order the ensalata to drink.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
