Eating in the very heart of Hollywood

Each time I visit LA I try to be there at least once. Food is good (please not that it is an italian to say this), service accurate, they take good care of guests and you "breath" Hollywood scient. Do not expect to pay as eating at fast food but it worths.

This place is a bit pretentious considering its tucked away on the top floor of a shopping mall. It seems to have trouble with its own name "The Grill on Hollywood", "The Grill on The Alley", "Musso and Frank'? The waiter told us this was regarded as the top restaurant in Hollywood and possibly LA and it boasted the best... More

If you want really excellent food and even better margaritas, this is the place for you. My wife and I ate dinner here the first night in town. Helpful hint: ask to eat overlooking the Hollywood and Highland open area. The menu looked amazing and the food matched what we saw. Meat was cooked to perfection, sides were great and... More

The best time to dine is during happy hour, from 3 pm- 7 pm. During happy hour, the popcorn shrimp and calamari appetizers are half off ($5). There are other items on the menu as well, all half off or for a reasonable price. The red velvet martini was excellent, made to perfection. However, my pan-seared salmon was an issue-... More

HAPPY HOUR - excellent! This is located on the 4th floor of the Hollywood & Highland destination mall. There are hundreds of people roaming around but the 4th floor is quiet. There are drinks in the $5-10 range, wonderful food choices in the $5-10 range (in addition to the full menu). We enjoyed 2 very good martinis (with bitters instead... More

This is a lovely restaurant. Fab decor. Nice relaxing music. Good atmosphere. I had brick chicken which was delicious. My friend had steak which was nice. Our sides were only average. Poor wine selection. Great service - the staff were very friendly. Great location - part of the H&H mall in Hollywood.

I had the steak and it tasted pretty good although it was over cooked .. The waitress forgot to put my side of asparagus in and I didn't get it until after I was done my steak . They say steamed broccoli comes with your meal but it's more like broccoli and Parmesan cheese .. Also Waited along time for... More

We're from out of town. I looked online and found some nice reviews about this restaurant. Our personal experience was exceptional. The food was great! Our Steak was cooked to perfection. We shared dessert, which was a brownie a la mode with a rich pecan sauce. My wife said she was tempted to lick the bowl! Our waitress, Jenny, was... More

I went with a group of colleagues and the food was good but we had to wait too much, the wine was just ok for a very expensive bottle. Not bad but I expected more.

We had dinner here plus they supplied us with a picnic dinner basket for the Bochelli Concert. Both delicious. For dinner my husband and i both had halibut, very tasty, in a lemon and caper sauce. Our picnic basket had appetizers, nuts, cheeses, bread, entree shrimp salads and key lime pie for dessert. We will return.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
