Great, great old school italian

Fantastic old school Italian restaurant and food. Places like this are a dying breed and if you are in the LA (Redondo, Manhattan Beach) area - seek this place out ! Food was good as Italian food always is, but not great. Given the price, I expected more from the restaurant. Restaurant was cute, with a nice family style atmosphere. It wasn't bad, but I would not return.

We stopped by this restaurant on our trip to LA and were so pleasantly surprised! The outdoor decor caused us to stop, but the food was fantastic, Basic, excellent, European style Italian food with very reasonable prices for the area. We were there at lunch and had the Caprese salad, pasta with cheese, proscuito and melon, and sausage and spaghetti.... More

Truly a very pleasant Italian dining experience with lots of choices on the menu. The prices are very reasonable considering the location of the restaurant. We always try to make it there whenever we are in the LA area.

I stopped in here after a meeting around 7 PM and found a charming restaurant with great services and very good Italian food. The restaurant was a little busy, but they were able to seat me right away. The server was able to answer questions promptly about the food. Nestled on an odd-shaped block, parking can be a challenge. However,... More

Just off of the Pacific ocean in Playa del Rey you will find Cantalini's restaurant. The food is very good and the service is always professional and friendly.

Old world Italian dishes served by old world Italian waiters. The scene is that Italian restaurant you visited with your family in 1976, and it has not changed one bit! Fun and friendly.

So my friend and I had just finished a stroll along the beach and wanted to grab a quick but not hurried lunch. We wanted some place that was charming and new to us both but one where we didn't have to drive through crazy traffic to get to. Not very far from the beach (Salerno? Sorry not quite sure... More

We found Salerno's based on a local best Italian Food award in the local paper. It is a gem and one that you must try! The restaurant is not very large and I recommend you call ahead to reduce your wait time. Although not a fancy restaurant, it is circa 1980 Italian restaurant decor, the restaurant smells so delicious when... More

We walked here from a beach house in playa del Rey. It's right on the main road and doesn't look like much on the outside. Based on reviews we decided to go. It was small inside but was cozy. Staff were all friendly. Our service was a little slow but I think it's because one girl looked like she was... More
