Classic Mexican Traditional Style

Love this place! Warm greetings from staff when you arrive. Servers in Guayaberas shirts. Fun decor: oil paintings of Mayan warriors, portraits of Benito Juarez, a fishtanks, two bars, Mexican folk art. Full menu of delicious traditional food. Fresh tortillas made next to the bar. It's kitchy, it's tiny, it's a bit greasy - it is FANTASTIC! If you want fancy-schmancy this is not for you. Nor will you get white glove service, so suck it up. What you will get is authentic yummy, cheesy enchiladas, and fish tacos that melt in your mouth. Margaritas are great, and even the house wine is not bad.... More

I'm a little ashamed to say that after living in Westchester for over 30 years, I'm only now discovering this place. Perhaps it's the fact that it's been overshadowed by Paco's, down the road and also at one time, down the block. Hacienda Del Rey serves the kind of Mexican I've had a preference for—simple and genuine. The refried beans... More

I have to update my review from three years ago. My wife and I bought two plates of fajitas and brought them home last week--as we often do. When we sat down to eat them, both plates had no seasoning and were tasteless. I called and talked to the manager who was clearly hostile. Long story short: I went to... More

I went on a Friday night, and sat across the table from my friend. The place was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. No tables were being loud and raucous, and we were not sitting near the bar. Bad acoustics, maybe. Food was served quickly, but no one ever came by to ask if we enjoyed our meal or... More

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch on our way to LAX. It's a little hole in the wall place with dated decor, but don't let that stop you! The staff was quick and friendly, the food was great, the skinny Cazadores Cadillac Margaritas are second to none, plus they had several TVs with the football games... More

I have my favorite Mexican restaurant at home but this could easily become my LAX favorite. It is so unassuming, authentic (not authentic Mexican, just not fake), and generous. I loved our waiter and the host; they looked like someone's grandfathers and were dignified. This was, of course, in great contrast to the red vinyl booths and table cloths. Ah,... More

My wife and I were in and around LAX transiting/connecting flights and staying a night at the nearby Custom Hotel. We strolled around the neighbourhood and dropped in at this establishment. Not very presentable from the outside, but that's what we go for anyways! Always on the lookout for that 'Hole-In-The-Wall' kinda place. Decor and atmosphere was somewhat dated both... More

It's a landmark Mex restaurant near LAX. Food is just ok, margaritas are just ok, service is hit or miss. I mostly come here because my finance's family loves it. Right down the street is Ocho, a new spot, which is really good (but more expensive)

I go to Hacienda about once a week and have eaten there for breakfast (on weekends), lunch and dinner. There is a lunch special everyday and they are great. The chicken tostada is very generous and filled with a lot of chicken. I love their handmade,on the premises, flour and corn tortillas...especially with the refried beans. The fajitta's are brought... More
