We had our first dinig experience at Hama in January 2008. We liked it so much that we went there for lunch again the next day. I agree with the other reviewers that this is an excellent option for sushi in Little Tokyo. We have tried a few different sushi establishments in Little Tokyo, and we find this and Komasa... more

Hama sushi is fresh, tiny, intimate, and delicious, with no frills and every degree of authenticity. Fans of American inventions like the Rainbow and California rolls will be disappointed, but anyone who loves fresh a la carte sushi will be completely satisfied. more

This is my favorite sushi place on earth. It's great. Every time I go back to LA I make it a point to go there. It is small and plain, and you just sit around the sushi bar and watch the wonderful chefs make wonderful food. Besides being delicious, it is cheap. Definately worth the trip to Little Tokyo. more
