We have been dining at this wonderful family restaurant for over 20 years. Large portions, quality ingredients, reasonable prices and excellent service keep us coming back. This is our go to restaurant for Italian food. While not fancy, it is constantly good.

I was looking forward to travelling back in time to sample some old-fashioned American/Italian food but left with no nostalgia at all. I had been told to try Alejo's as one of the last spag/red sauce/chicken parm restaurants of note but perhaps this was a bad night. To me the mortal sin of an Italian restaurant is one that overcooks... More

Family flew into town and were staying near LAX. I had eaten here many years ago and remembered the garlic oil dipping sauce for the warm bread. All 5 of us agreed to try. Made a reservation for 6:15. We laughed when we entered since the place was mostly empty. By the time we left, people were waiting outside. We... More

Went to celebrate my birthday, handed the menus then the waiter stood at the table waiting to take our order. ??? Ummm may we have a few minutes to decide please? It was obvious he was rushed, simply wanting to hurry things along. Wait staff had no knowledge of the various wines served. We ordered a Margarita pizza which basically... More

This is the standard by which all other Italian restaurants are judged. SIMPLY, THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD I (we) HAVE EVER EATEN!! *** Best: eggplant lasagne, shrimp diablo, chop salad (the dressing is from heaven), plain spaghetti, garlic oil for the hot fresh sourdough bread, chicken dishes, soup, etc., etc. Garlic is the first ingredient for most dishes....so how could... This restaurant was near my hotel, and it was a treat. The server was very friendly and helpful..the food seemed to be very authentic Italian. It wasn't a fancy place, but bustling. The Caesar salad was awesome(I ordered it without anchovies, which are optional). The chicken Marsala was delicious, and I took leftovers to my hotel fridge. Great little place!

I ate dinner here on a Sunday early evening at 4:30 PM. The restaurant was 75% full which I took as a very good sign. I had a pasta dish and the chopped Italian salad. The food was very good and the service as good as well. If you are in the area, the is an excellent choice with very... More

I have been here many times. It is very simple. Good food at a good price. I usually order the chicken parmesian or chicken picatta. I also love their chopped salads. The salads are huge with lots of good, fresh ingredients. One salad is large enough for two people as an appetizer. On weekend nights it is usually pretty crowded.... More

I got some food to go here a few weeks ago. The food was so-so and I definitely don't need to go back.
