Food in Universal City

In Universal City "food" mostly means "junk food", but Saddle Ranch is an alternative, but not a very good one, though. Ordered a New York Strip Steak, and it tasted ok, but not top quality and I ordered with sauce Bernaisse, which did not come even when I had asked for it several times, and... read more

I've eaten at this location many times over the years and I've had consistently good service and food. This review is for my most recent visit, with friends from out of the country this last Friday night. We arrived at 8pm for dinner and had no problems getting seated. However, once we were inside, we could not easily leave the... More

Went there on a Sunday for Brunch and Bottemless Mimosas. It took at least 25 minutes to get our first drinks. When the food came out it came out a few dishes at a time, as each one of us received our food we had to ask for forks. We asked for forks about 5 or 6 times! Really? You... More

Our family ate at Saddle Ranch Universal and had the best time! The kids rode the mechanical bull. We were serenaded a Bon Jovi song by request. We received a compliementary dessert of s'mores which we roasted on the fire pit. The adult drinks were delicious and generous in portions. The food was excellent. This was definately the best value... More

The restaurant is the first one you pass as you arrive at Universal studios Hollywood . Its really designed as an outside eating place with a cowboy theme , ride on bulls lots of wood etc. The challenge in winter is keeping the place warm , they have heaters in the ceiling and they close in the many open doors... This place was recommended to us by family who had been. They warned us on the size of the meals so we were prepared to order small. Food is decent for this type of venue. It's the equivalent to a pub meal in Oz, just bigger !! We had the buffalo wings which were delicious and shared a plate of... More

This review is the companion to my review of Universal CityWalk as a whole. CityWalk is a tourist trap and an expensive place to visit, but it is a major entertainment destination for a lot of people from across the country. That is why I find it unbelievable that the cell phone coverage is sooooo poor here. I stopped here... More

Wine and drinks in plastic cups. $8 for small fries. Only nacho was worth it. Came after Xmas work party and they made us order at bat even though we had 10 + people with us. Service not great.

We stopped in for Cocktails after a day at Universal. The staff are great and the venue fun. The girl behind the bar, Tracey, was a great help and lovely! We didn't ride the bull but saw others have a go!
