New Location Same Great Tacos

Just up the street. Saved by a new landlord. Great ground beef tacos. The beans and rice together are fantastic. Don't forget the hot sauce.

I watched Henry build the building when I was a boy. It was always a favorite in everyone's book. Yes, before Taco Bell this was the only American Style Mexican food to find in Studio City or North Hollywood. Adam 12 and Dragnet used this location several times as well as being a fast meal for many of the actors... More

We read about this place in the newspaper. Henry's was established in the hey day of L.A.s drive in style restaurants, in the early 1960s. Typical walk up window, order your food and either take it to go or sit at their 4-5 benches & tables to eat your food. Tacos, tostadas, burritos, chili and rice and beans. Good $2... More

But then there's history--and chili--and a few other offerings of what you'd expect from a small corner place. This was a very early evening stop before a late night dinner and we arrived just as a line was forming. Chili tasted wonderful on a cold, late afternoon, and the taco was, well a taco, and a good, fresh crispy one... More

I have some form of 'graffiti' on most tables...I've been eating here since I was a wee one... :) And when in LA, I eat here all the time. It's a landmark.

Henry’s Beef Taco was clean, it was crisp, very uniform, delightfully greasy, and seemingly fresh. If you have ever watched a fast food commercial, you’ll know that the food looks completely perfect while in real life it always looks like crap. This taco looks like it could star in a Taco Bell commercial (while in real life you know you’re... More

I'm sure this place is dear to the heart for some people, but it seems to be for the sentimental value rather than the food. I lived a block away for a while and finally had to see what the fuss was about. The taco (while not bad at all) reminded me of the kind your mom would make for... More
