Basic all night diner. I was starving and it hit the spot. Fast. Clean and saw lot's of police officers eating there. Always a good sign. Reasonably priced.

When I was younger this was a "Denny's" or some other chain coffee shop, and now it's called "Twain's", suggesting some kind of inexplicable reference to the American author. You could call it Melville's or Faulkner's with equal justice. It's a COFFEE SHOP, for pete's sake! It boasts the basic generic coffee shop menu, and literally NOTHING has changed since...

We stumbled upon this little family run diner during our visit to LA in Feb 2012. Awesome food served 24/7. The diner has been in the same family for 40 years. Food is fresh, and very flavorable. We HIGHLY recommend dining at Twains when you are in the LA area.
The tables were worn down past the first three layers of artificial material and the wait staff were kind of strange - there was some difficulty communicating with them and getting just what we ordered.
I love this restaurant! They always have great food any time of day or night. The cooks always make the BEST sandwiches. They look like a work of art! The dinners are fairly priced and are terrific. They offer a great variety and the food always looks inviting and fresh. Everyday there is a different soup and a dinner special....

it's been over 10 years since I've eaten here, They are the top for me. great hash browns and pancakes. the service is wonderful and they keep the coffee cup full. open 24 hours. so they're ready when you're ready. I'm glad I made it back after all those years.
What a great little diner, this is right next to where we stay in Studio City, we are always away from home for 4-6 weeks at a time and we definitely felt at home having a home cooked dinner their. Everything on the menu looks great and the serving sizes are huge. They give you bread to start with, then...

Twain's is located on Ventura, near Sportsmen's Lodge. I discoved it this Summer during one of my stays in Studio City. Good food, open late. Ate almost every meal there.
Great for grabbing a bite to eat at lunch. Plenty on the menu and huge seating space. If you're staying at the Sportsmens Lodge this is really handy and gives you a bit of variety from the patio cafe.
On our visit to LA we ate here the first night because of its proximity to the motel we stayed in. We expected to be served plain food which we were however I chose the beef and it wasn't much to write home about. The vegetables were overcooked and tasteless. Had a great baked potato and side salad - very...
