Langer" is a true Los Angeles institution. It is one of the last bastions of a bygone era that is apparent by how this iconic Jewish deli still thrives in a neighborhood that has been in a downward spiral for the better part of the past last century. The neighborhood itself seems to be in the early throes of an... More

Langer's has the best Pastrami on rye with Russian dressing, their #19. However if you don't want cheese on the sandwich, go with #1. My wife and I always split a sandwich and a large order of fries. The place can be pretty busy so you may have to wait a bit to get in. Parking is tough, but we... More

My introduction to this place is from ESPN LA's Max and Marcellus show. They give away 100$ gift cards to this place for a caller who has a creative idea. With this info, I searched for the place, and was like, ok, let's give it a shot. And I'm thankful that I did. I didn't order the 19, but the... More

Delicious pastrami sandwiches on rye. Didn't blow us out of the water though. Little bit overpriced.Tuna Melt was great too. Lots of interesting characters walking around outside. Get a window seat if your a tourist.

Don't miss this deli eating opportunity. A gathering of all people in search of cuisine that is comfort food for all . I love the corned beef, cabbage soup and of course the ambience of this well established eatery. Can't miss a menu that is full of delicious offerings. Visit the neighborhood as well and see how survival of this... More

A group of us (4 adults and 3 kids) where rushing around all day and hit Langer's just before closing. I was very very keen for my friends to try their great sandwiches, so I was quite sad thinking that they would not be able to serve us. Well they did - absolutely professional and with gracious hospitality to spare.... More

My sweetie has been coming here since the 70's. It is legendary classic, and one of the great traditional Jewish delis left. The rye bread and pastrami are the best, as is everything we have had. When in LA make be sure to have a truly memorable deli experience here. One of the last great ones for sure.

Exceptonal Rye Bread with an amazing crust. Very Good Corn Beef. #19 Sandwich was very nice but I will go back to cole slaw on the side - it hid a very tasty pastrami. Great pleasant and quick service. No wait before noon.

CLASSIC corned beef sandwiches. Love the environment. It's noisy, but that's what you should expect in a classic deli in the middle of downtown Los Angeles!
