Old deli that still provides the best food choices and value. Every time I see it mentioned on local tv, I have to run down there for a "fix".

I eat at Langer's once every few months. It's near MacArthur Park, which is beautiful, but a bit of a sketchy neighborhood. Once you walk into Langer's though, it's like another world. The famous #19 is amazing. The meat is so tender it melts in your mouth. It's served warm and is nicely contrasted by the cool, crisp cole slaw.... More

This L.A. MacArthur Park area deli is one of those establishments you have to try at least once. Langer's has been around since 1947, so they must be doing something right. The hand-cut pastrami will melt in your mouth. The pastrami with Swiss sandwich with homemade coleslaw on rye bread with this great crust is something that you will want... More

Fantastic pastrami, I would give it a 10+. Same for the bread. But do not combine and eat as a sandwich. The flavor and crust of the bread are too big for the sandwich, It will drown out the taste of the exquisite pastrami. Eat separately and you will get the full flavors and texture of each. Take a bite... More

Was located one block away from a metro station. Very famous in la and based on tripadvisor reviews we decided to check it out. The #19 is the way to go. Best food we had in la given our budget. Closed early so plan ahead, we had to make a second trek because it was all good.

Want a great New York style deli in LA? Try Langer's Deli across from McArthur Park. We dined on the favorite #19, a pastrami sandwich on rye with cole slaw and russian dressing. It was great. Everything was fresh - right down to the bread. The pastrami looked good - thick slices that had a nice pink color. Very good... More

A great place for Lunch. Parked right outside. The meters take CC, minimum 1 hour. As a first-timer I had no 19 and a coke. A great choice! What's no 19... I guess you have to get here to find that out :-)

I think it was Nora Ephron who said that Langer's has the best pastrami in the country. You can't go wrong with the #19...service is brisk, so don't let the crowd standing by the door change your mind. There is a free (validated) parking lot one block away. Tourists: don't wander the neighborhood while you're waiting -- it's not the... More
