#54 though

Wow!! I am blown away at how good the food was... Loved the ambiance and I would highly recommend Langer's to anyone. I have eaten at the Carnegie Deli in NYC and I would say that the Corned Beef and Pastrami at Langer's is better... Not by much, but both have their strengths. Langer's wins due to... read more

My husband doesn't much care for pastrami or for corned beef but I am a huge fan so he indulges me. We were headed toward MOCA and The Broad (driving up from San Diego) so we opted for lunch first. Good thing we arrived just before noon--it was quite busy and soon folks were queued up for tables. Figured we... More

Year after year, Langer's is compared to the best of NYC deli's. Bottom line? Knowing the NY restaurants in question, I agree with most critics that Langer's pastrami, corned beef, and amazing double-baked bread is mouth-watering, tender, and flawless! The menu is varied, the crowds line the sidewalk at lunchtime waiting for tables, and the service is efficient and friendly.... More

Going to langers is like a step into the past! Vinyl booths orange tiles and old world clientele, you feel like you've stepped into 1960s New York . All the deli familiars and their famous #19 pastrami, there is something for everyone. Go early or expect a queue outside !!

We visited Langer's for lunch and were not disappointed with the food quality. The pastrami was lean and cut very thick. the roast beef was good, but not exceptional in the way that the pastrami and corn beef were. Prices were higher than expected, and we assumed that in part we were paying for the name and reputation of this... More

We'd been downtown at the Science Museum and knew this was not too far away. Arriving near 1pm we had a 15 minute wait because the restaurant was packed. We were given menus as soon as we sat down, but knew what we wanted because we'd been able to check out the menu that was pasted on the windows outside... More

Had to come here since I had heard so many positive reviews about the deli and the number 19. It lived up to its reputation. Obviously the pastrami is the draw but the bread was a major plus as well.

Use to go there then I recently saw "I'm having what Phil's having ". Loved the episode at langers. Went there and ate a no 19. First time ever. I am basically a vegetarian. Haven't had pastrami I years. When the waitress asked if I wanted dessert I said no just bring me another 19. There was a line. There... More

Decided on a whim to lunch at Langer's and so glad we did. We even introduced our LA friends to this place and they now have a new downtown spot to dine. Had Pastrami , Corned Beef and Chopped liver. Deserts were glorious. Even enjoyed a hard to find "egg cream". Will be back and loved the waitstaff. Only negative... More

While posting reviews of places I have visited in my travels people would be missing out who are visiting Los Angeles if they did not know about langers. This is the best pastrami in the world hands down. Order the number 19.
