This is an old fashioned deli that serves the best pastrami sandwich, #19! Thick hand carved slices of pastrami, coleslaw and Swiss cheese between two slices of rye bread is the fantastic sandwich. Together with an order of fries and a chocolate milk shake makes a delicious lunch. Portions are huge. Staff is friendly.

Langer's deli has the best pastrami and rye in town. It is located in a rather shady area of downtown Los Angeles. But you can call ahead and they will bring your order curbside. I took my two teenagers for a great lunch after visiting the Grammy Museum. They were hesitate to venture around the area of the restaurant but... More

This is the place! Been that was for many years. Just put the name in Google. It is all good except the locations. Next to MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. The restaurant has to close in the late afternoon so that customers can at least feel safe. No need to drive and look for ;parking. Just take the Red or... More

Pastrami Pastrami Pastrami--- that's all you have to know. This is an old fashioned, huge portioned, New York style, deli. Run, don't walk to get the Matzo Ball Soup with Kreplach. If you are on the way to LAX and you need to grab a quick and fantastic sandwich for the plane- this is the place. The fresh bread and... More

This place is a must for those traveling through Los Angeles if you are undaunted by the crappy location. The Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches are amazing. The portions are not large but the quality of the food is excellent. They have a very large menu and the service is outstanding. The prices are moderate. You will pay about 12... More

Well, being a lover of pastrami sandwiches, we decided to try two of the best rated places in LA for a taste competition. First off, I LOVED the fact that you can order by phone at Langer's and they will deliver to you as you pull curbside-----can't beat that for service!! The sandwich-which is a #19 on order--is absolutely positively... More

I know this place has great ratings but see for yourself. If you don't mind taking a risk and getting nothing for your money.pastrami and other deli meats are the most stingy served orders- if you bring your complaint to the owner or his daughter, they become rude, nasty and just do not care. They are cocky and arrogant because they brown nose... This probably THE best deli LA has to offer!!! A little pricey, but the sandwiches are so big, its like you're getting two for one.

While my husband and I live just outside of Los Angeles, we had never been to Langer's in Downtown and so decided to meet there for lunch the other day. We were thrilled at our choice! The #19 pastrami sandwich was just amazing and so large, we planned to split it with a bowl soup and french fries; however, my... More
