It was here that I discovered the practice of putting the slaw directly on my pastrami on rye. I will be forever grateful for that. Simply an excellent deli, historic, and devoted to its customers. Where as NY deli's (such at Katz's) are catering to tourists and service and quality are slipping, this place stays true to the locals with... More

We arrived quite close to the end of the day so they had run out of rye bread, but we had their Rueben special with coleslaw (that's what makes it special) on sourdough. According to the staff, it's their best seller. It was good, it was very good. The quality of the meat was the best I've had in any... More

They are the best deli's left standing. I can't decide, but we'll go downtown LA just for the pastrami or corned beef. I just wish I could get here more often - everything I've had here is good - including the macaroni salad which is hard to find.

I'm 50 and Jewish. I've sought corned beef sandwiches in multiple major cities including several in NYC. There may be better than Langer's, but I've not found it. At $15, I was expecting a colossus (like in NYC), but it was an average size…if there can be anything average about perfection. The rye bread was outstanding…the crust crunched like it... More

To-go garden salad was well above average, but it is the only thing I had that was a good value. Other menu items, while very good, were way overpriced. Pastrami was BOML (best of my life): tender, and not at all salty. Cole slaw was well above average. Lox was thick-sliced, fresh, and very good, though a bit too-heavily smoked.... More

Went here after reading the reviews, just an all round awful and ordinary experience. Very bland #19, nothing world famous about it. Tats deli in Seattle kills everything about Langers. The bill was phenomenal to say the least. Will never go back, I can't understand how this place still gets decent reviews.

I finally made here and wow, why did it take so long. The #19 is a legendary sandwich for a reason - a serious flavor explosion in the mouth. The neighborhood is sad but at least they have a guarded parking lot nearby. I can't wait to come back. Wow!

I'm more of a lox type than pastrami but the #19 has made me a convert. Together with a chocolate egg cream tasting just as it should, I was in heaven while at Langer's. The pastrami is simply amazing. So juicy. So lean. So melt-in-your-mouth, have to keep eating, don't want to be full delicious.

Wait, did I just pay $16 for a sandwich? Yeah. Yeah, I did, and I'd do it again. My wife and I went to Langer's on a Saturday, at around 0900. The place was mostly empty. We got the famous #19 pastrami sandwich, one blintz, a chocolate egg cream (for her), and an iced tea (for me). For us, this... More

The pastrami sandwich is a masterpiece, as good as any in LA or NY, but it is getting truly expensive to eat there. A sandwich, fries and a drink will run you $25 by the time you get tax and tip.
