We took our grandkids with us to this restaurant when we were vacationing in LA. We wanted to eat in the LA Chinatown area so we chose Yang Chow. We had szechuan chicken, beef dumplings, chicken salad, and kung pao chicken. It was all very good, but it seemed like the szechuan chicken was a bit overcooked. We did have... More

If you're in LA and have a taste for Chinese food, you can't go wrong in eating at Yang Chow. And if you go, you have to order their signature dish, Slippery Shrimp. You'll be hooked..

Delicious food with enough amount and cheap price. This restaurant is a Chinese restaurant with a little bit flavor change for American people. Tastes good.

Mom and Pop feeling place with good food and good service. Steamed dumplings, slippery shrimp, sautéed string beans, beef with broccoli all good but shrimp and beef dishes the best. Sauces especially tasty. Valet parking is down a narrow alley next to the front entrance. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere - easy to visit. Definite go back.

I have had a lot of Chinese food, this place gets a 4 for me. A group of about 8 of us shared dishes and everything was tasty. Prices were good. Be sure to get the asparagus!

Good food but reputation based on glory days of the past when Chinatown was real. Want great Chinese food? Go to Monterey Park
