Yang Chows, Chinatown, has parking in back. The hot sour, the shrimp are great. They will get food out quickly, but their can be a shorts wait depending on time. This is a good size location. They also have two other locations, Pasadena and Woodland Hills. They do have lunch specials and do to go... read more

This place was unfortunately one of the bigger disappointments during our week vacation in LA. We initially tried to go somewhere else in the area, but it was closed (as many of the restaurants in the area were that Monday night). The line of people waiting outside in the uncharacteristically cold weather made us think that we had found a... More

Good food, healthy portions, prices a bit high for the quality, parking in rear/small valet lot, service just ok, Not a warm or friendly place. It feels that they talk at you not to you starting at the front door/desk to the servers. But in a pinch to run in for dinner, quite adequate. Thinking it's better in a larger... More

The hotel suggested the place, just around the corner. Prices were average, food was good, but don't know that I would go back. I came just before closing at 9:30 PM and ordered take out. When I signed the credit card slip, the hostess told me the tip was not included. In all my life I was never asked to... More

Just returned from 3 days in L.A. and ended up eating at Yang Chow 3 times! And not for lack of other options, but because it is fantastic. We decided to have dinner here on our first night because Yang Chow got amazing reviews from many, many people on Yelp. It was so good that we got takeout from them... More

Very busy restaurant with attentive staff. Food was incredibly tasty and well-presented. Loved all of the dishes we tried.

We were in Chinatown for the day and decided to visit Yang Chow based upon its positive reviews. Quite a disappointment!! As you enter the restaurant you are confronted by an array of celebrity photographs hanging on the walls and so expectations for good quality food are high. Sadly, the food does not live up to the hype. We had... More

We have visited here before, but we tried the family dinner and with three orders we easily were filled and that's with three hungry men and one petite woman! They have excellent service and the atmosphere is inviting. I really am not too drawn to Chinese food, but I could eat here again and again. My favorites are Kung Pao... More

Ate dinner at this famous LA Chinatown restaurant and it didn't disappoint. The food was plentiful and came out hot and quickly. I didn't feel rushed but was attended to at the table. If you are looking for good Chinese food in LA, this is place to come.
