Absolutely Charming

My husband took me here for dinner on a Friday night after we saw a movie at the Arclight. He had been here several times on business meetings, but it was my first time. Lovely setting...in an old home...hidden away and right in the middle of Hollywood. The food and the service was excellent.

I love this place. The relaxing atmosphere, the very attentive staff and the great food are what bring me back again and again. The menu doesn't change much, but I don't care; they have great specials and I love the standard menu items. The salmon and Creme Brulee type desserts are favorites and the wine list is good. You can... More

Went to eat before Phantom for a group I was asked to organize. I picked Off Vine for quality and proximity. Proximity was only plus. The pasta special was sent back by one guest and in order to hurry I had much Parmesan cheese ground onto mine adding the base it was sorely lacking. The piece de resistance, their soufflé... More

I've been here before and keep forgetting to review. this was after an art opening but it's great pre-theater dining and within walking distance__ not in high heels. Very good service and good food. Last minute reservation (after show time>>8:00pm) Greeted & seated immediately. Food was good: Blackened Tilapia Chicken piccata (Skipped dessert.)

My long time friend, her mother who has some mobility issues and my teenage fussy eater went to this restaurant due to trip advisor's recommendation. The staff was patient, kind and helped us all make food choices that we loved. The food was excellent. I wish we lived closer as I would love to be able to go back and... More

This is my go-to place before going to the Pantages Theater or even the Arc Light, and for a nice night out with friends or significant other. They are located in a refurbished house just off Vine (the cross street is Sunset Boulevard) behind the Chipotle restaurant. On the weekends they serve brunch. The portions are hearty, and fairly priced.... More

Located about two blocks south of the Pantages Theatre, Off Vine seems like a perfect place to eat before heading to a show. I've eaten brunch here twice now, once before seeing The Lion King, and most recently before The Phantom of the Opera. We arrived just in time for our 11:30 reservation and got all-day parking in the lot... More

My wife and I went here before going to the Pantages Theater. Normally it's $5 parking, but for another $5 we left the car there and picked it up after the show. It's only 2 blocks from the theater. The food was very good. Not cheap, but not exorbitant either. The food, sodas, tax and tip came to $30 each.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
