My husband and I made early dinner reservations through Open Table on a weekday. We requested a table on the outdoor patio and were seated promptly at a nice table under the vines. Service was excellent - water glasses filled without asking - and food was very good. I felt the wine pour was generous in a large glass -... More

Off Vine is a small restaurant located off Vine Street (get it?) just a few blocks from the Hollywood Pantages. We dined her yesterday before a matinee. They were very busy with Sunday brunch, but were able to seat us immediately. The restaurant is located in an old Craftsman bungalow that has been well maintained. There is original hex tile... Literally just off Vine in an adorable former residence converted to restaurant and vine covered haven from the surrounding area. I was attending a small wedding reception and we arrived just before the gates opened at 5PM. We were seated for drinks in the former front yard at delightful small tables covered by trellises on flowering and fragrant vines. The... More

Charming out-of-place setting, delicious comfort food, and truly fabulous soufflés make for a relaxing, great-for-conversation dining spot in the heart of Hollywood. Once you step onto the porch, you will be a thousand miles away. Just a block from the Arclight, this is a perfect place to discuss a film you just experienced with a significant other or intimate friends.

This is a highly rated Gluten Free restaurant for a reason! They know their ingredients, have many GF options (types of pasta), are very accommodative, and the food...oh my goodness...was terrific. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quality meal near Hollywood.

This craftsman-turned restaurant is a gem hidden in the middle of Hollywood. It is gorgeous, quaint, romantic and absolutely unique. The food is divine, especially the duck sausage and the filet. Not to be missed.

Dine inside and its like you are in someone's house. Dine outside and its like being on the front porch. I would characterize the menu as American "comfort food". Everything I've had was good and satisfying. I highly recommend ordering the souffle. Monday night dinner is 1/2 price!

Off vine is a nice restaurant, located in and old two storey house, in the heart of Los Angeles . Nearly all the meals are delicious and you can choose any of them. Prices are exceptable. I recommend to visit this restaurant, especially on Monday evenings that they apply 50% discount to their regular prices.

want to eat somewhere that has the feeling of home but with excellent food, great service and the odd celebrity? Try Off Vine. Prices are reasonable but the ambience is great and the food just about perfect. Definitely worth a try.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
