One of the oldest and best in Los Angeles

Aged grilled Bone in Rib eye last night hit the sweet spot in my dinner experience. We always eat at the bar although the eatery reeks of old Los angeles on Eighth and Ardmore surrounded by Korean Restaurants and Korean BBQ's. The squat brick building is over 50 years old and has all the trappings... read more

Love this place and I am sorry I've been in LA for 25 years and haven't eaten here. I've been to the trendy steakhouses, newly built and designed, with terrible acoustics, expensive drinks, and very expensive (although delicious) steak. I far prefer the experience I had at Taylor's. First, you enter a dark paneled bar and can see the big... More

I've been to Taylor's a few times for lunch and have never been let down. The food, service and decor just can't be beat. Two favorites are the London Broil and the Crab Cakes on the lunch menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything here.

Our hotel, Hotel Normandie LA, recommended Taylor's Steakhouse for a nice dinner before an evening show at the Wiltern Theater. We were not disappointed. Since we went early at 5:30pm, we beat the rush. We got a nice booth and the wait staff was very attentive. We got the culotte steak and the filet mignon. The steaks were cooked perfectly... More

PROS: Good quality of meat. I tried their "famous" Culotte: it was a pretty big peace of good filet, but nothing else. The place is cozy and warm. Try to avoid tables near the bar, it's loud and dark. Some people just come to watch the game and get drunk. We didn't like: 1st surprise when you get there: $3,5... More

I went here with a friend of mine in need of a good american steak. The neighborhood isn´t the best and what seemed like a good idea after reading reviews online was more and more in doubt as we came closer. However - we quickly found parking across the street and got a seat after only waiting a couple of... More

A co-worker suggested Taylor's and we went for lunch. Beautiful traditional steak house setting, lovely booths, nice bar, efficient servers, wonderful steaks. I want to go back soon.

I have been dining at Taylors for years. This is one of those classic steakhouses that is a must if you are in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles. The interior has that old charm with red booths and wood paneling and dim lighting. The service is also excellent. I usually order the tri tip steak medium rare and it... More

It had been almost 15 years since I dined at Taylors. A good friend suggested a trip down memory lane. Last night 8 of us feasted, toasted each other and had a wonderful time. They put us in the private wine room, We brought great wines--old Rhones, Bordeaux, Calicab, SuperTuscan and Australian Shiraz--perfect juice for a steak dinner--with bookends of... More

I had dinner with my friends at this restaurant and when we left (after restaurant closure) I left my phone on the table. There were only 3 costumers left in the restaurant. I live 1.1 miles away and when I realized I had left my phone behind I drove back to pick it up (I tried calling but because the... More
