This restaurant is highly recommended and worth a visit. The atmosphere is attractive. Several office groups were having lunch when we were there. Pay for parking - the streets are full.

My mother and I took a stroll while I was in LA and we decided on afternoon cocktails and shopping on 1st Street. It was fantastic! Garibaldi not only had great appetizers but they humored me when I asked for a hibiscus margarita which was not on the menu. We sat at their small bar and chatted away sans any... More

My daughter's boyfriend took us to this restaurant for dinner and we were quite surprised by the great atmosphere. The server informed us it was Mexican Mother's Day so my wife got an additional holiday. We had a fun evening and the food was incredable.

not my favorite mexican food. I do like the seafood offerings, fish tacos are my fave. Entrees comes with soup and multiple veges and rice. Inexpensive

I was in town on business and had dinner here with my college sweetheart (30 years ago!). She is Hispanic and this is her Aunt's favorite restaurant so she picked it. I had a bit of trouble finding the valet parking, but the place was great. Everything about the place was wonderful - food, service and atmosphere. Maybe they read... More

This place is an odd mixture of strengths and weaknesses. The service soars with it's valet parking, gracious hostess and preening waiters but dives in that I'll never crave one of their dishes, or understand their penchant for removing food from the table without asking. Our party of six had an excellent evening drinking tasty sangria (no cocktails served) but... More

if you want to eat the best Mexican food in a more formal setting than a taco stand than come here, don't be scared! there is valet parking in the back and be sure to order something with a great sauce on it...and when I mean the best I am not kidding.

La Seranata is a family-run Mexican seafood restaurant. The Rodriguez family started with one restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. It is still there, but now they have two more stores, in West Los Angeles and Santa Monica. All three serve simple, fresh seafood. The service is friendly, not fancy, and the prices are reasonable. Altogether, a great place.

Bad food, terrible service and the prices were way to high for Mexican food. Why this place still is still open is a mystery to me.

Don't be turned off by the neighborhood. They have parking lot and attendent behind the building. Some dishes you don't see everywhere. I had empenadas stuffed with tilapia, cheese, and tasty spices. Excellent service. I'll go back.
