We popped in on a Saturday night with no reservation, so found a spot at the bar. We ordered an absolutely delicious Barolo. The octopus appetizer was unique and tasty. The burrata salad was fantastic. Great service. Good vibe. Great evening.

I visited the Water Grill for lunch and was immediately seated. I ordered the Grand Platter which had shrimp, clams, various types of oysters, mussels, scallops and 1/2 lobster tail. The platter came with 3-4 different dipping sauces. The seafood was excellent and could be enjoyed without any additional toppings. A great choice for fresh seafood.

At a recent lunch, my friend and I both ordered clam chowder ($9) to start. For our entrees, my friend ordered the Wild Fijian Ono (Wahoo), w/ korean pepper crusted with pork belly and miso braised root vegetables ($20) and I ordered the Wild Morro Bay Sablefish (Blackcod), pan roasted with oyster and lobster mushrooms and red wine anchovy reduction... We are not Angelenos so I can't compare this to other seafood restaurants in LA but we do go to LA once a year so we're not totally ignorant. Water Grill can easily stand up to anything that we have in the Bay Area. This was an outstanding meal in every respect. Octopus, chowder and poke appetizers were great; lobster,... More

From the appetizers to the dessert, the food was fresh and the service was attentive and impeccable. The best seafood downtown, hands down!

This is a great sea food restaurant, everything we had was very good. The bread that comes with your meal is a must. To get the full experience make a reservation well in advance.

The food here is very good. If you're looking for fish, then the Water Grill certainly has a wonderful choice. And the atmosphere has a really nice buzz. But just be prepared for a long wait. We were told that we would have a table in 20 minutes and then we waited 45. We then had rather erratic table service.... More

Stopped in by chance and dined at the bar. WOW, this place is crazy good. From the fresh oysters to the stone crab and on and on. Great prices on food and wine list. Best compliment is I will be back and take new friends.
