We went first with a large party (9) with a reservation. Our table was ready and everything from our greeting at the door, to the friendly and attentive service was perfect. The food was spectacular and the portions generous. I ate the black cod and it was one of the best renderings of this dish I've had. Everyone in our... More

We had an enjoyable, but not exceptional, dinner at the Water Grill. I wouldn't rush to go back - nothing stood out as very good or very bad. Pleasant experience. Get a window seat if you can. Eye-wateringly expensive valet parking, so make sure you get your parking validated.

We have lived LA area for over 15 years and we eat out a lot! We were expecting much more from the Water Grill. We did not select items off of the raw menu or have any of the fresh seafood platters - perhaps that was our mistake. We opted to try their Cioppino. Too much Saffron, too spicy, and... More

The best "poke" ever. SO delicious. Also had Chilean sea bass and halibut. Both were melt in your mouth good. Ambience fun and comfortable. Very attentive service. Would highly recommend dining here.

This place has ambience, quality food and great service. Took us four days to realise it was next door to our hotel but wow we were not disappointed at all, only wish we had of found it sooner. If you like seafood and an amazing wine selection try this place out. Oyster platter and choice of different types was great,... More

We walked to dinner from our hotel and the place was packed! We got seats at the community table and ate our dinner there. It was lively and delicious. I had the crab cake and my husband had amazing chicken. We would return.

We had dinner here & from the menu we walked in the service was exemplary, the ambience bit old school but charming. The oyster sampler was superb & the wines varied. Portions were generous & tasty & sides interesting. The potato mash the winner! This place is upmarket but nevertheless value for money. A special occasion venue.

We hosted a party of thirty for a business dinner, and the meal was memorable...great food, wine, service, and atmosphere come together here and even with a big party seated in the main restaurant area, our food came out at the same time for all our guests and was delicious! Definitely would return again for future trips to LA.

The Water Grill has a great selection of oysters, served very chilled. Once you get pass the oysters things are not so great. The clam chowder was milky and tasteless. The steamed clams were not much better. The fish tacos, the fish was good the slaw served on it was tasteless. the service was good the server was knowledgable about... More

Fresh wild fish with outstanding salad and sides (the polenta was heavenly, and the sugar snap peas were perfectly crisp-tender and flavorful).
