You Keep Going back

This restaurant has enough variety that I was able to make three trips and not feel bored. First if you are on your own go for a table by the window to people watch. I opted for the crab cake and char grilled octopus on my first outing, truly enjoyed both. The crab cake is just that, real crab... read more

Our second time to this place, but this time, it was very disappointing. We do not plan on going back. First, the service at the table was slow and inattentive. After a bottle of wine was ordered, we had to ask twice for the additional beverage that was ordered. Then the menus were removed before we ordered. When the server... More

Beautiful, large restaurant, that has a lot going for it. Really liked the food and mixed drinks, and the wine list is incredible. Will go again next time I'm in LA.

Wow, I wanted to try everything on the menu. VERY fresh fish and shellfish. So hard to pick just one thing to eat. Come hungry and excited because this place is well worth it. Great stylish ambiance and decor. Very knowledgeable wait staff. Will definitely be back.

Comfortable, classic seafood restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. Fabulous fish menu, good service. Only complaint is that there isn't enough non-fish items on their menu to allow for those in the party who are non-fish eaters. Only choices were steak, hamburger, & (ordinary) chicken. Dined there twice - a lunch and a dinner. A safe recommendation.

If you love raw oysters come to the Water Grill. They have a great selection of oysters from both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Water Grill also presents them like no other. Each time you order them, the oysters are dressed up over a bed of ice, (3) different sauces and seaweed décor. We have had oyster sall of Los... More

This restaurant is located in Downtown LA. They offer very good seafood, one of the best in LA. Service was great and attentive. Price is on the high side.

Fine seafood dining with knowledgeable, attentive waitstaff and sommelier. Expensive, but worth it for special occasions. Valet parking available. A short 3-5 minute drive to symphony afterwards.

What a fabulous place, I felt so bad walking in to this gorgeous restaurant as my luggage had been lost, so I was still in jeans and a hoody from travelling, I asked if this was ok, and they were so welcoming saying of course come in. Staff were polite and attentive and no overbearing at all. When they pass... More

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
