Food is really superb. This is a serious restaurant that is, well, serious. I enjoy eating at the bar, which is a bit less dour depending on the bartender. This is very expensive restaurant, but they one of the few that manages to cook the fish to perfection. more

We've been to the Water Grill many, many times before attending the opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion because it's "there", ie in the neighborhood and has been one of the very few options in the meager choices of downtown LA restarurants. Downtown restaurant specializing in seafood. The salads were delicious. The fresh fish was excellent. There is a wide variety of wines by the glasses and all are very good. The service was very excellent and very attentive e.g., the waiter changed the white lap napkins to black napkins because I was wearing a dark suit. more
