The Water Grill is classic seafood at it's best! The selection of oysters are amazing! The freshness of the fish was great, I had the Chilean Sea Bass with little gnocchi and it just melts in your mouth. From the moment we walked in, service was warm and friendly and we had a great time. We saw one of the... More

We had the Alaskan black cod with a miso glaze and yams. The fist was perfectly cooked and the portion was generous. The kale with yogurt was really good. The crispy polenta with a sauce and mushrooms...do not waste your calories on this. It was not crispy, it was bland. It was like a chunck of bland egg dish with... More

We arrived just before 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We didn't have a reservation and imagined they were gearing up for a very busy evening. Because we told the hostess we were there for the food, not a special table, we were treated to quiet seats at the bar, where we were able to carry on a conversation until we... More

I was alone in the place, but I can't feel that I'm not a member of a big group, so the service was 5 star, and the food was real cool. I had never eaten Crab before, so don't have any chance to compare, but because of that, I will try it again. Thanks, Guys!

It was close to the hotel, It is very large and an open kitchen, it has a great assortment of great seafood. I was part of a large group with meetings at the Biltmore and most attendees ate at the Water grill at least two or three times. One night I just went in for their key lime pie it... More

I happen to be in LA for a business conference and a friend told me about the Water Grill and you have to check it out. So, I went (and then went a second time while there) and it is the best crabcake and King Crab Legs that I have ever had (and I eat a lot of seafood in... More

Had not been to the Water Grill in many years but had very fond memories. Sad to say our meal was rather disappointing. Not sure whether I've changed or they have. It felt like most of the offerings had been brought in from quite a distance. One of the great things about CA fish is that it's pretty local and... More

Had a very forgettable dinner there last week - went there a few years ago and it was superb - fancy and top drawer. Now it is a noisy bar/reataurant with so-so food - I am glad the new owners are getting rich on their business model, but I was VERY disappointed. If you are looking for a top-shelf dinner... More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
