Brilliant for brunch

Came here for brunch and couldn't hve left more impressed. The decor was classic all-American diner but it was pleasing to seethe menu featured a number of my Mexican favourites. I went for the huevos rancheros followed by a pancake with maple syrup. The first course was delicious, the eggs, beans... read more

We found this place by looking for the best breakfast places in LA online and Fred 62 was the closest to where we were staying. It was an early Tuesday morning so it wasn't busy but the staff were lovely and attentive. The pancakes are the fluffiest we've had on our 10 day stay in LA. I had the pancakes... More

It's horrible trying to find parking around the restaurant! There's two paid parking lots but they are very small and fill quickly. The food was average and I wouldn't return considering it's not near my home (we were watching a play at a nearby theater right after lunch).

I used to LOVE this place...15 years ago. Since then, not only has the quality gone way down, but people in my group have gotten sick, usually from the potato salad. It hasn't been an isolated incident, either. So sad to see it go so far downhill. Thank God the Alcove, expensive as it is, offers a great local backup.

Met up with a friend here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the tuna melt and fries which was okay. Unfortunately, the poor service didn't push up the average tuna melt I ordered. People kept coming by, trying to take our dishes that still had food on them, as if to rush us through our meal. I didn't think... More

The Berkeley breakfast sandwich is perfect any time of day! It is perfection! Their milkshakes are also delicious.

It's a great little hole in the wall with no parking but the food and service is well worth it. Nice portions for good prices. It's a must for great breakfast!!!

The server was super nice and great table manners. The food was so delicious. If you come make sure to get their pancakes. The orange juice is fresh ! We are outside and watch the cars passed and enjoyed great company of others as well.

We stopped into Fred 62 for a quick lunch. Service was OK. The meals were very good. The bacon on the BLT I ate was delicious, somewhat thick and lean. Fred 62 serves diner-like food. We didn't partake in respect to their desserts and many of their sweet creations looked good. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for... More

It's a corner hangout and they have fabulous UDON, and NOO soups -strictly vegetarian unless you want to add shirmp, chicken, or... $10 and $9 respectively and a full meal. Very down home, seating is inside and out, service is good but what I love is I can count on the quality of the food. Also had the Chickpea fritters,... More
