This is one of our favorite local Italian restaurants. The food is always good, and the atmosphere is nice...usually friendly waitstaff. You can still bring your own wine, but there may be a corkage fee now...not sure. more
Overrated. Had pasta I could have made at home (and I'm not Italian) and sat on a hard, uncomfortable bench. more

I absolutely loved this place when it opened. Great food, homey, fantastic service (identical twin servers!). Then there was a period where they were building their pizza joint, and the food seemed a little less carefully prepared. Not bad, exactly, but just...not quite as good as it had been. A great place for a date or a night out with friends. Warm, neighborhood italian resturant. Look for the fresh made pasta. Haven't had anything bad there yet and the service is awesome. A little gem that I take everyone to. more
I've been to over 50 italian restaurants in LA over the past 15 years, and this is the best. Consistently excellent and very cheap considering the quality. My family lives in Italy, and the food is comparable to what my fat Italian grandmother cooks (and that's her job!)
