Still One Of My Fave's

So far, I haven't been dissapoiinted. Whenever I'm in LA, this is a must do for me. Even though we have Chicken and Waffle Restaurants in Chicago now, I always gravitate toward Roscoe's as the original. It used to be readonably priced, but, it's gotten pretty pricey. Our first visit and we really enjoyed the chicken! The restaurant itself is not much to look at but it is clean and the bathroom is clean. That's always a plus. The kitchen can be viewed with a sneak peak when standing up front and it looked quite busy and clean from my view. They were quite busy during week... More

Me and the boys took a trip out to Cali last year (July 4th to be exact!), got the rental and headed straight to Roscoe's..only to find out it was CLOSED!!!! Fast forward a year and some change later, and we decided that wasn't gonna happen again! Again, flew in to LAX, got the rental, and set the GPS for... More

Roscoe's is a really fun experience when you have Kids or out-of-town visitors and want to give them a unique, local flavor. Service is really good and you must try the specialty, waffles and chicken. It can be really busy, depending upon the time of day but if you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes, it's worth it.

I hadn't been to LA in several years but I knew Roscoe's would be my first stop. My teenagers had never experienced Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles so I had to take them there. Yes, it's an experience! It was better than I remembered. Waffles were good but the chicken was excellent - hot and crisp - nothing overdone!!! I like... More

In addition to serving the proverbial chicken and waffles, other soul food items are available. The restaurant was crowded but the hostess was very efficient and organized so the wait was not long. The waffles were thin so I thought I would not like them, but the waffle mix resulted in a waffle with a really good, unique flavor. The... More

House of CHICKEN and WAFFLES. Please, yes order that and the yummy chessy eggs with onions. Get one of their sweet signature drinks sunrise, sunset or Lisa's delight and you will be happy. I've tried a few of the other items at several locations and hmmmm no, don't do it. The mac and cheese, blah greens blah as well. Stick... More

Always heard about this place, and vowed that if I ever visited LA again, I would eat here. Well I got my chance. It was sooooo good. The chicken compliments the waffles, or do the waffles compliment the fried chicken? I don't know, but what I do know is the mixture of syrup, butter and a little hot sauce makes... More
