Best Value in LA

I've been going to Cafe Bizou in Sherman Oaks for years. They have an excellent menu, filled with amazing dishes at half the price of high end restaurants over the hill in Beverly Hills. They offer a $1 soup or salad and the corkage fee is ONLY $2! WHAT A VALUE! The place is often busy during... read more

The food is not what it used to be, however the location is very convenient, so I may have gone back. But, we asked that they make it cooler in the restaurant. It was very hot and we were actually sweating! They closed a door and we could feel a coolness from time to time, but no great change. When... More

Consistently great food, service, and atmosphere at moderate prices. Strongly recommend you arrive shortly after opening, or make a reservation ahead of time

This is a very nice, and very reasonably priced place. The food is very good with a nice selection, but not over whelming, something for anyone. The service is also very good. I will say on this visit the "hostess" was either not having a good day or should not be a hostess! She was clearly pissed about something, but... More

Upscale setting for upscale brunch food. Service is very kind and attentive, but get there early enough on the weekends to avoid the larger crowds that tend to gather for loud celebrations.

It has been a long time since we were here. I am very glad were returned. The house salad, dressing was delicious. Adding it to my main course was only $1.00. I had two. My main dish was the rack of lamb. I asked for medium rare. It came perfect medium rare. The wine reduction sauce was wonderful. The scalloped... More

The title really says it all. I don't know why I'm so blase about this place. I think maybe because of some of the local hype. "Oh, you have to go there." The room is really great, but that's really all about the lighting, because the chairs you're sitting on are the same ones I had in college from Target.... More

I think I've had all of their fish dishes now, and all have been outstanding. My perfect experience is to start the Lobster Bisque, have the Sesame Coated Salmon, and then finish with the Creme Brulee (best creme brulee I've ever had).

Had dinner a few nights ago and I am so sorry that I don't go back more often. Wonderful ambiance, wonderful food, professional and courteous wait staff, wonderful Martini's, and prices are very fair. Location is great and even though there is street parking, I love they offer Valet as space does become premium in that area. i highly recommend... More

We had a great time.....perhaps not somewhere we would go on our own but an excellent choice with firends. They have a bring your own bottle policy if you want and the food whilst not outstanding is perfectly competent. Don't go out of your way but go if you are nearby
