Value priced gourmet - just fine

100's of reviews so I do not have a lot to add- very busy all the time, except 6 pm - Prices are very reasonable $40 per person with corkage ( Wow $2.00 corkage but wine glasses are luncheon counter quality, thick and not elegant ). Everything looks great on the menu and the meat is choice cut and... read more

We have dined the Cafe Bijou for years. Each time we visit we're assured of a reliably good dining experience. Each of the four of us was happy with his or her selection(s) from appetiser to dessert. I usually rate the Martini craft too. Not for ingrediant but for mixology. Theirs is Good, but not at James Bond level!

I was in LA with some family during an extended week-end last March. I selected Cafe Bizou after seeing good reviews on this site and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was full even though it was Thursday night. The food was very good. The only two points I'd bring are that we had to order our wine twice (we... More

J. and I haven't been here for years so it was fine for a Wednesday dinner on the way to LAX for J.'s red-eye to Boston. We parked nearby and was surprised to see both how busy it was and that a majority of its clientele were on the senior side. A shared appetiser of popcorn shrimp (called a "table... More

Lovely ambiance which is just as well since the service tends to be slow so expect a long leisurely dinner experience. The food is very good but a bit expensive. all in all a worthwhile dinning experience.

Cafe' Bizou has been around for years and is still going strong. Food is consistently good, service is spot on and if your a wine drinker like me, a $2 Corkage to encourage you to bring your own wine is a nice treat. Recommended, but make a reservation

I've eaten here 3 times. Food is above average with a huge menu. I had a special called 3 meats which was ok. Everyone else in my party liked their orders. Only $2 corkage! Their $1 salads are just ok. The pear salad I had was average. Flourless chocolate cake was good. Service is always excellent. The restaurant is almost... More

I have been going to this french restaurant on and off in the last 20 years, it is always great, always consistent in quality and service. There are few dishes that I love the most, the lobster bisque and the steak with fries. They have a special for lunch and one dollar salad.. It is a great place for family... More

Food is always consistently good and reasonably priced. There are always traditionally prepared french dishes like escargot and soupe a l'onion but delicious American pasta and steak dishes too. The dessert is fairly standard (sorbet, flourless cake, creme brulee) but always a nice end to the meal. Their cork fee is less than $10, so bring your own bottle though... More
