We have ordered take out from here before, but this was our first visit to the sit down side of this landmark. We happened to be in the area on a Saturday afternoon and stopped in for lunch. My wife and I both decided on the pulled pork sandwich. The potato salad was good but not great but the beans... More

My husband had visited this restaurant 25 years ago and wanted to go back since we were visiting LA GPS got us lost so turned into a long drive. We had our kids with us. We had no clue how big the portions are. We asked a couple questions about the menu making it cleat we were not regulars. We... More

This place is a hidden gem. The barbecue is excellent especially the brisket. Restaurant is a little cramped but the service is great!

We order brisket to go, expecting it to be about the going rate of $16/lb. Imagine our surprise to find that it cost twice that. Was it twice as good? No. Was it good? Sure. Sauce was simple but delicious.

We drive 1 1/2 hrs from home to eat here. It was well worth it & then some. The brisket was the best. Chicken was a bit dry. I recommend the macaroni salad as a side & the white beans were great. Messy goodness! Don't wear white here. The barber shop next door is a great place for men's barber.... More

Good BBQ! A family favorite for many years. The food is very consistent and you won't walk out hungry. Slop on the sauce, it's real good. Lots of napkins required.

This place is a long way off the regular tourist path. And it's a long way from a tourist restaurant. And that made the effort, not to mention the food, well worth it. The portions are enormous, the meats tender and flavourful and the BBQ sauce something very special. The dining room is no-nonsense and the service swift and friendly.... More

In the heart of Van Nuys I visited an old haunt from my LA days on my birthday, the yummy bbq of Hogly Wogly's. Happy to add my two cents here to a restaurant I have enjoyed many times over the years: The lunch special was just $6.95, a good value. Mouth watering bbq!

Ate here for dinner. Not a bad place. At first I was worried, the prices looked high for BBQ, however the portions here are very gererous so bring your appetite. The service was ok once we got seated, we did have to wait a couple minutes to be noticed. One odd thing is the bathrooms are outside on the side... More

Don't expect a fancy atmosphere. The booths are serviceable and the wood paneling has been there forever. But - the beef ribs are amazing. I've tried almost everything on the menu, but for me, I love the beef ribs. Sometimes they come a little bit overcooked for me - so I now ask for the ribs not well done. They... More
