We tried lots of dishes and it was good sashimi in CA. We feel it is a good price and the quality is excellent compared to where we are from in London. We tried blue fin tuna and it was divine. The sushi master she was very tentative. We will go back there again if we are in the area.

The happy hour prices are excellent, and the food is always superior. If you're brave, try the don't-sue-me sauce, made from habaneros. The mussels are fabulous, and the sushi is superb. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. They usually show surfing movies on the outsized TV in front of the bar. Very casual. You must show... More

A welcoming place, in a relaxed an informal environment. I ordered a sushi combo, in which the traditional sushi was OK, although the rice was clearly not real sushi rice but rather long-grain rice. I did not much care for the sushi rolls, but in general I find sushi rolls a perversion I could do without. It's not a fancy... More

We stayed at the Erwin hotel just around the corner and wanted to have a cozy night in the hotel, so the hotel recommended Hama Sushi to us. Excellent choice - the place itsself was very very crowded, the lady owner checked on me very friendly several times and told me that she was very sorry that my order was... More

Not sure what went wrong as this place comes highly recommended but the clam miso tasted like it was made with dirty dishwater. I lived in Japan for 10 years and can safely say this was the worst soup it has ever been my misfortune to try. Combined with the dodgy clam and mushroom dynamite doria I got the squits... More

We have been there with three friends our first day in Venice. The food is veryyyy good but the price little too expensive. The restaurant has nothing special but the service perfect

Our son took us to this tiny restaurant for sushi in the Korea Town area of downtown Los Angeles. He said that regulars want to keep the place a secret so that the wait to get in doesn't get longer than it already is. Fresh sushi, bursting with flavor is what draws people in. The place is really just a... More

This Sushi Restaurant is a Venice area tradition. It was the first sushi restaurant I ever visited in LA, and we keep coming back here. The menu is extensive and the sushi chefs are happy to mix and match ingredients to create your own special dish. We ordered off the menu and one of our choices was the: Red Devil... More

Florence Roll Shrimp tempura and cucumber topped with seared albacore, avocado, drizzled in cilantro Serrano dressing.... This is what I had suggested by my waiter. It was full of flavor. The was a great balance of not to salty not spicy ( which is what i thought when i was the small peppers) and the cilantro which at times thin... More
