expensive and not that good. Nosh at the Farmers Market instead

We thought we'd check out The Grove & Farmers Market with our elderly mother during our visit to the LA area. The allure of a good rating as well as the convenience of having a reservation made us select this location for lunch. After tip, our bill was over $100! Neither the food nor the service... read more

Never had such a lousy lunch services anywhere like this. Our server, James, hardly delivered anything. We asked more than 4 times for utensils and glasses for all of us, he never cared to do it! Our drinks came after the 1st course and after reminding him twice. Fresh oysters came out with no forks to eat with. Desserts came... More

I have eaten at Morels in Las Vegas several times and have loved it but do not go to the one in Los Angeles at the Grove. We were seated and sat there for over 15 minutes and were never even asked for our drink order. A man at another table was complaining about the time taken to receive his... More

We came to celebrate a birthday! We had so much fun! It felt like we were in the middle of a big party. The drinks are spendy but the food is well priced for the portions and quality. We had Oysters in the 1/2 shell, great and well presented. I had the mussels saffron and my friend had mussels in... More

We stopped in without reservations following the taping of a show, and were pleased to be seated right away indoors (I avoid outdoor seating due to smokers passing by in The Grove). It took no time to get water to the table, but it took at least 15 minutes before we were asked if we wanted drinks. The rest of... More

This French bistro and steak house is a nice option for lunch while shopping at the Grove, in LA. It's a very cozy place. With the great weather from the city, seating outside is a nice choice. The service is good and attentive. The food has high quality and you can take a break from the burgers (although they have... More

We recently hosted a small (35 people) private party for friends and family upstairs at Morels and we were extremely pleased. We selected this restaurant for its upstairs private rooms and that we would be the only party event to take place that day. The room is lovely - elegant, old world, comfortable and spacious. Long staircase, but also had... More

You would think a restaurant in the Grove would stand out from others in the area. Morels is simply a place to go and people watch- nothing more, nothing less. Extremely expensive and the lunch service was terrible. Would I go back? No and nor would I recommend Morels to anyone especially out-of-towners.
