We recently hosted a small (35 people) private party for friends and family upstairs at Morels and we were extremely pleased. We selected this restaurant for its upstairs private rooms and that we would be the only party event to take place that day. The room is lovely - elegant, old world, comfortable and spacious. Long staircase, but also had... More

You would think a restaurant in the Grove would stand out from others in the area. Morels is simply a place to go and people watch- nothing more, nothing less. Extremely expensive and the lunch service was terrible. Would I go back? No and nor would I recommend Morels to anyone especially out-of-towners.

Service, food and value all shocking. AVOID. Limited choice means they really can't excuse getting what they do wrong.

I will preface this review by stating it was our server's first day and as you know, we all started a new job at one time or another, but it maybe came down to a lack of training... The server did not know the POS system well and did not order items correctly or I don't know what happened but... More

What a great place to eat at the Grove. The steak frites is especially good for lunch. And its a great place to people watch!

I brought family and relatives for lunch one time and the food was good! Steaks were so so. A bit tough. The seafood platter was good! We came back for lunch and it was better. But the ground floor service was a bit slow. Maybe understaffed when we were there. Good, but not excellent.

I'll preface this review by saying that if you've never eaten in the upstairs restaurant before, then this place can be okay for you. I went there last night for a special occasion and wow! Talk about disappointment. Seems that there are new owners, new management and a new chef. Was expecting the ambience, service and menu that I came... More

The steak and frite was pretty good. French fries at a French restaurant is usually and also in this case just a bit better than usual.

A bug crawled out of my salad last night - but the worst part is that the manager wasn't surprised. And - he offered nothing to compensate for the "bug salad". Overall, the food was mediocre (we had the bouillabaisse, mussels and um...salad). The service was friendly enough. We tried two red wines (a Pinot Noir & a Grenache) off... More

This is a French type bistro, in the upscale Grove shopping mall (that is attached to the farmers Market) & is a cheese lovers paradise & normally one of my first picks for dinning. Sadly, we walked away hungry and feeling robbed after our last meal here. I ordered then sent back my crepe, which I thought would be good... More
