Let me start with this caveat. As a non-eater of meat, I am unqualified to tell you about any of the dishes containing lamb or beef. What I can tell you is that the vegetarian meze platter was pretty close to exquisite, the eggplant dish being the most delicious thing I ate anywhere all week, and I eat out a... More

Very close to the Farmer's Market at 3rd and Fairfax in LA, this restaurant has been here quite a while, but unless you look closely for the sign, you'll miss it. However, follow the path and you'll find the most charming and romantic restaurant with great Greek food. It has inside and outside seating, but we prefer the very nice... More

My favorite greek restaurant. The restaurant has recently had a redo and was closed for two months. It is in an old house behind the shops on Third. It is hard to find. You go down a small pathway where you find the gates to the restaurant. There is an open courtyard as well as indoor seating. My favorite dish... More

We ate at the Sofi location at Woodman and Oxnard in Van Nuys. We were staying in the area and were hungry and looking for a place. When we saw the outside, we expected a family restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to find it was Greek food with tablecloths and nice décor. It has only been open a short time... More

We sat on the patio and that was our first mistake as the tables were dirty. The chairs were filthy and there was bird waste caked on the table and the surroundings. Overall, the food was poorly prepared and foreign material, not food, were found in our meal. The plates and silverware were not completely clean either. A kitchen assistant... More

We used to come here all the time, years ago. We were excited to come back with a Bloomspot deal. Our order: saganaki - very greasy and salty, taramosalata - very salty, pastitio - dry, youvetsi - we both wanted this, but thankfully, one of us didn't order it. Usually with a braised lamb shank, you only need a fork,... More

A Groupon offer reminded us of this place, which we had not visited for a long time. The courtyard was lovely, the restaurant quaint, the food was simply awful, overcooked, mushy vegetables, sea basss that was actually tough, it had been cooked for so long, stale dolmas. Service was strange. Our waitress must have sensed our disappointment, and the more... More

I went with my partner to Sofi's Greek restaurant, having been completely seduced by its website, which is wonderful! When we arrived in LA at our hotel, I admit, we walked to Sofi's because the owner told us, by phone, that it was hard to find. We walked up to the closed wooden door and espied the abundant bougainvillea draped... More

Restaurant has been around for a long time and should know how to prepare Branzino (white fish) without overcooking it. Also the vegetables were mushy. Too bad they can't get their food prep right as the ambiance of this place (lovely courtyard) is just right for a warm Spring/Summer evening out. Also they need to tone down the music as... More

I ordered the avacado/mushroom omelette with swiss cheese with biscuit. The omelette was brown/burnt, although the swiss cheese was in chunks... unmelted... the biscuit was also burnt.. the potatos were ok. Service was almost non-existent.
