Just because there was a parking place in front I found a place that is my new home for Mexican food in Los Angeles! Great full menu, reasonable prices, family owned and operated. Most impressive? The BEST MOLE I've found anywhere in the United States and most of Mexico.

Who would expect to find a reasonably-priced Mexican restaurant on Melrose Ave in Hollywood? Antonio's is just that -- good food, wonderful margaritas, and good service. I highly recommend it.

Want a burrito? At Antonio's you'll find it on the menu between the chicken sandwich and the burger and fries. Antonio's has tacos and enchiladas, but the menu focuses on Monterrey and Mexico City. The menu cycles through Mexico City specialties, such as Tamales de Frijoles and Ropa Vieja (beef, peppers, raisins, tomatoes, and other spices) by the day of... More

Service was excellent, food was OK+. We were there on a Sunday evening and there was only one other table with customers. It was tasty, but nothing special. Good vibe in the place, but perhaps tired with the younger set.

Referred to Antonio's by a trusted foodie, we were pleasantly surprised. We were both greeted and sat by Antonio himself, a living legend! The atmosphere resembles a true mexican-style abode, very homey. There is a main room up front, a bar area to sit at, and back room for tequila tastings! Being a native LA local, we've had our fare... More

Antonio's has been a tradition with my family for 40 years. It's our go-to restaurant for family dinners and we love it. Delicious food, huge portions, unusual recipes. The fish tacos and enchiladas Oaxaca are particularly good, as are the chips and guacamole.

We were introduced by my celebrity relative to Antonio at the door. He is a very nice man with a nice family running this long-time Hollywood business for over half a century. I saw pictures of Antonio with the biggest legends of Hollywood and heard stories that Hollywood dreams are made of. The atmosphere was comfortable and mesmerizing. The food... More

This family owned restaurant on Melrose in LA, has been family owned and run in this very spot for 56 years and Antonio still greets his guests cheerfully at the front door. Other family members serve - both at the bar and at the tables & booths. The walls are covered with photos of famous guests through the years and... More

Wait staff tends to argue. Pretentious place with poor service. I know and love authentic Mexican food. If you too, avoid this place.
