This is an incredible Japanese Restaurant that serves Ikazaya style dishes. If you don't know what that is, look it up. This is a particular style of Japanese food that specializes in "home-style" small dishes that go with drinks. Some of the dishes are the finest versions available in the US. Whenever I have friends who can't decide on what to eat, I go to Ita-Cho because it serves everyone. You can get great sushi and sashimi but you can also get great small plates from cooked seafood, red meat, fried food and vegetables. The decor and ambiance is very nice! I loved the modern details! We tasted a variety of dishes as sushi, mushrooms, calamare tempura (a Portuguese influence in the Japanese cuisine) and fried shrimp. The fish was fresh and tasty. Everything was good and seemed very authentic. The chef is japanese. We drunk green tea and it was a good choice.... More

Tasty, authentic japanese small plates. Lots of variation on mountain potato -- they mean business. I saw jake gyllenhaal here once.
