We visited El Compadre in the beginning of november 2014. We are two Swedish Couples driving from San Francisco to LA just to get the feeling of California. Even if november isn't the best month for that we still enjoyed our trip a lot. Just by chance we found this really nice and genuine mexican. The music and sound level... More

This is the greatest place on earth and it all starts with the amazing service led by Joey the owner. The service staff is that of or better than the finest restaurant on Beverly Hills. The food is amazing and a lot of it. The drinks are strong and the crowd can only be described as cool and fun. If... More

Just off the tourist attraction street, this Mexican restaurant offers great variety of Mexican food favorites at decent prices. Guac is delicious and the torilla chips taste homemade. Our family of 5 tried all different dishes from burritos to chimchungas to quesadillas - all excellent. Your eyes need adjusting when coming here for lunch, cause the interior is DARK. No... More

Not the best place to take my 4 year old, but great food and excellent service. Drunk and obnoxious group of guys sitting next to us, so it is hit or miss. The location near Dodger Stadium is better, warmer atmosphere, better crowd and amazing hospitality.

True Mexican food and atmosphere! Staff was wonderful and very good. They paid attention to every detail and there was even a mariachi band. Moderate priced but excellent flavors. Would definitely go back. There was a table of six sitting next to us, a mom and five older kids. She handed the waiter, Jose, a dollar for tip and said... More

Went for a late dinner. The restaurant has a cozy booths and a great mariachi band. The margaritas are not to be missed and the mole was delicious.

Really enjoyed the food. Lots of it. Didn't ask for cutlery to be included in my take away order and none was supplied - so make sure you ask!

This place was very close to our hotel so we decided to walk over and have dinner. The chips were good and salsa was nice and spicy. They don't have queso though. Food was tasty. We ordered chicken nachos and the steak quesadilla. The atmosphere is rich and dark. Thick wooden U-shaped booths covered in red leather are nestled underneath... More

This restaurant is an institution on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood that should not be missed. As a local I love coming here because of the smooth (yet strong) drinks and a menu with traditional Mexican cuisine that is well prepared. A visit to this establishment is an experience - from the decor to the live music. If going on... More

Came here on a Friday night and it was definitely busy! Luckily, there are no reservations taken to sit on the patio, so we were able to sit immediately. We would've had to wait if we wanted to sit inside. The guacamole was amazing, but the salsa that they give you with the chips was a little to spicy for... More
