Okay, this is the place: open 24 hours (except for Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah). The servers are not surly (though that is the reputation), they just know the menu, they are busy, and efficient. The requisite dish of pickles are part of your "set up." The meats are wonderful. The sandwiches are generous. The desserts? The best this side... More

Disliked??? Nothing! Except that I live an hour away. But if I lived closer, I'd weigh two tons. The mish mosh soup is wonderful. The sandwiches are great. The PICKLES --- the BEST EVER!!!! Order anything. You'll love it!

Step back in time to an old style deli. Lot's of validated parking, awesome food and good service. Next time in Los Angeles go to Canter's.

Best deli in LA, hands down. The Canter's are such nice people, they have cool stuff from Mark all over from his tour days with Guns N Roses and his friendship with Slash. The pickles are the best, the rye bagels are amazing, the lox eggs and onion are fantastic, and the deli/bakery in the front is great for anyone... More

There are way better deli's in Los Angeles. It is open late, which is good, but not as clean nor tasty as it should be.

We came across this restaurant from our bus tour and it was highly recommended. The service was a little slow at first but once we explain to them that we had a flight to catch, they were very kind and got on with our food ready. The style of meat they prepared reminded us a lot to the Montreal smoke... More

This is one of the famous deli in Los Angeles, we love the delicious matzo ball soup, the mile high corn beef sandwiches, don't forget to check out the yummy pastries sections, too many selections they all look so good, they all weight by pound, delicious cookies to eat on the road trip.
