Corned Beef on Rye - THE best we've ever had in recent memory... tender, flavorful and yet lean. The Cobb Salad for very good. Service - Greg did an outstanding job, especially with a toddler at the table. You should go here!

The hop on/hop off bus guide told us about this place, a Los Angeles institution, open 24 hours a day, and a hangout for Gun n Roses back in the day when they were playing the clubs. And right around the corner from the Palihotel where we were staying, so we dropped in for breakfast before my husband took off... More

Best pastrami in LA! Hard to find a good Jewish deli in California but Canter's is like a bit of New York in Los Angeles. Large menu with an large assortment of sandwiches. They also serve burgers - you might want to try the pastrami burger if you can't decide between a burger and a pastrami sandwich.

Do not mention the K word in here they responded to my question if they're better than Katz's Deli in NYC . . . just as good but don't have to fight for your food as you can sit casually and eat like a human being. Not as big a serving but less pricey than K word, but equal in... More

I like to go to Canter's for comfort food. Matzoh ball soup, a reuben or a pastrami sandwich or a chef's salad. Omelets tend to be overcooked but if you're there for basic food, you've come to the right place. However, food quality can vary -- I recently had a matzoh ball that tasted just a little bit "off" --... More

Came here as we are big fans of rock n roll, and this place is legendary for rockers in Hollywood. More importantly, it's open 24/7. The service was attentive and fast. The food was just good home cooked delish food. We came here 3 times on our trip in L.A. The street parking was plentiful. They claim to have the... More

The management needs to look their employees better. They advertised breakfast tacos at $3.50 BZ so I got two figuring they would be small. They served up regular sized tacos at $7.00 BZ leaving me with too much food at double the price. There was no apology about showing the wrong price just tons and tons of attitude. I worked... More

Our girlfriend group needed a bakery fix, and our LA expert drove us right to Canter's. $30 later we had a treasure trove of baked goods reminiscent of our Cleveland Jewish bakery childhood. But that wasn't enough. The next day we returned for lunch from the extensive menu, and more tough choices abounded. My humongous corned beef sandwich was almost... More

Canter's is a truly iconic Los Angeles eating establishment and a required stop for both locals and visitors alike. Located in one of L.A.'s most eclectic neighborhoods, this restaurant thrives on maintaining its "old-school" image. The food is awesome, the service is incredible and the atmosphere will definitely take you back in time. Where else can you see hassidic jews,... More

Canter's has the feel of the old deli's from New York city. Excellent food, friendly servers. I love this place. They even have their own parking lot which in LA is important.
