A nice café

I waited for 20 minutes but understandably I can tell why. The service was friendly staff always makes the meal more enjoyable. My friend and I got seated outside of the café, nice area to be in when you are wanting to enjoy yourself. My friend ordered a very nice fruit salad and fries. I ordered... read more

ENORMOUS Pancakes and French toast. Seriously they are huge! Could not even begin to put a dent in them and they were delicious. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the service. I would recommend stopping here for sure.

Been here many times--I love, love, love the nutella french toast !!!! My family have their own particular favorites in the vast pancake selection--the choices do not disappoint. The serving size are good for 2. The pancake is the size of a large dinner plate and you get 3 in a serving. If that is overwhelming, they will make just... More

This place is great. If you have a sweet tooth it must be on your bucket list. Great food, cool vibe but long lines. So, be prepared. It's way worth the wait and a must stop when in LA.

Heavy but worth the calories.. By far the largest portions I have seen. Every order is good for two. Pancakes are a must and the sandwiches are very good (hey the cheese melt or the chicken sandwich.. Skip the tuna melt which is below average) Long waiting lines on Sunday's so be ready.. don't sit outside unless you enjoy people... More

I read the reviews about the minimum 25mins wait especially on weekends so we got there around 8.30am and the restaurant was just starting to fill up and there was plenty of metered street parking right in front. It's only leaving that we realized the parking on the cross streets are free. Food & service was great as reviewed -... More

Everyone says things are to die for. The french toast is 'to kill for' good. Take a cab or walk if you are nearby. You may have a wait but even the wait is fun. I've met some great people in line. You'll be hooked after a visit. Good coffee is a major weakness in LA. Their coffee is actually... More

Of course you will have to wait. At least 20 minutes. Perhaps 45. But it is well worth it. You should be used to lines in LA -- to see star power or a theme park attraction. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. It was also large. You can easily share an order, with other hungry people. Griddle ranks with my best breakfast... More

great place to eat, but forever wait lines on the weekends especially. Parking is hideous. 1/2 to 3 blocks away. Be there before they unlock the door. You would think no one in LA knows how to cook!

Best breakfast in LA hands down. (definitely better than the Pantry in downtown.) Their french toast and coffee are my weakness !

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
