Very nice night of food and entertainment

Very small place, but was a very different experience for us since we had never eaten Moroccan food before. Paul, our waiter helped us order by explaining everything in detail. The food kept coming at just the right pace. Everything was tasty, and hot. The folks that rated this place badly just... read more

While visiting family in Hollywood, we ran across this somewhat hidden gem. My wife and I have acquired a taste for authentic Morroccan food thanks to a superb Chicago restaurant called Shokran. We decided to see if Moun of Tunis could hold a candle to our Chicago favorite. The answer was a resounding

We ate here as part of a larger group...spent $150 for a half chicken to share among the 4 of us. The first course was some greasy fried thing filled with egg and potato that I couldn't eat. The second course was a plate of salads; I enjoyed these but I ended up eating way too much bread trying to... More

A good new fun experience for us; dining Tunisian style. We were seated on couches around a table and ate with our fingers. We chose one of the banquets; the food was tasty and plentiful and inexpensive. Were thete on a weeknight and the service was prompt and very helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

GREATEST KEPT SECRET IN ALL LOS ANGELES! This Moroccan Masterpiece in exotic cusuine on has Belly-Dancing Entertainment on the weekend -- don't be a jerk, bring your singles ($) to tip the girls, fold the bills and slip in her g-string. They always have super-stretch couches, and you always want to come ideally with at least a group of four;... More

Felt like an authentic location with authentic food. Very nice. You may need to find street parking.

A small Tunisian restaurant similar to Dar Maghreb but not as pricey. Dress comfortably as you'll be seated on pillows around a low table where a communal meal is served. It's a god place to go with a group of friends you know well-talk, drink, eat repeat ;-)

This might be simply the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in my entire life. It wasn't so much the food, it was the atmosphere & BAD service. It was kind of condescending, we had explained we had never eaten Moroccan food before & called ahead to be sure of the entertainment-- We expected a Moroccan theme & unfortuneately... More

A lot of fun. Maybe this was the place that they filmed Ishtar. Fun experience. But, you can get the same thing for less at Marrakesh over the hill.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
