We made last minute 8:30 Sunday evening reservations for outdoor dining. After waiting over30 minutes for an outdoor table, the hostess asked if we minded dining inside. The restaurant is small inside but was worth the inconvenience. My parents are both from Italy and I am very particular about Italian restaurants. The meal was outstanding and our waiter spoke beautiful... More

My husband and I ate here the other night. We had a 9:30 reservation. Arrived and discovered that this tiny place has no bar so the rude hostess escorted us outside to wait. Not pleasant to wait along this nasty area of town on the street. We waited about 15 minutes for our table. The place is small so be... More

Went with a friend and I had the pizza - it was better than any pizza I had in Italy - thats for sure - place was busy - and full - service was a little slow - might pass on going back there again - or if I do might try one of the real Italian dishes - it... More

Consistently for the past decade it is the best Italian in Los Angeles. It is always incredibly busy, even starting at 530pm and if you are looking for romantic decor this probably isn't your best bet. It's quite a small restaurant with a trattoria feel and your neighbors are quite close sitting next to you. Truffle pasta is outstanding, service... More

This place would be at home in any larger Italian city. With the freshness and seasonality of the menu. We had antipasti and secondi and well as wine, coffee and dessert. The freshness and generosity of the ingredients in the antipasti seemed like everything was growing or swimming this morning. For entrees we had the Porchetta and the Bransino. Porchetta... More

friends of us took us there and told us it was amazing! and... it was. We tried a bit of every antipasti, except Tripe and Liver, and everything was fresh, simple and truly delicious. And the came the Bombolotti all' Amatriciana. Sublime. It is not large plate, it is just the exact amount of food to make you feel good.... More

Visited this venue and its quite small. It really did seem like they are maximising their reputation on tripadvisor. We were seated at a little table, which was very close to other tables near the front of the restaurant. I prefer to have a little more room when I eat out. The service was fairly good but again nothing special.... More

I wouldn't call Angelini 'the best Italian restaurant in America', but it is a true Osteria with plenty of soul: Unpretentious décor, warm personal service, and very good food. The dishes cover a wide spectrum, from simple to elaborate, all using the freshest ingredients. Our party of 5 shared 10 dishes (as one would do in an osteria in Italy),... More
