Parking was difficult as valet-only parking available at site, and very limited on street parking. Food was good and as expected. Service was good, but a bit slow, but we had a very large group and they wanted to get all the orders out at the same time.

I lived in LA when this restaurant first opened. It was THE happening place to eat back then. That was 30 years ago. It was typical to wait an hour to be seated. But it didn't matter. It was worth it. People watching was great. Hung out one night with Calvin Klein and his models one evening waiting for a... More

I have been a patron of Marix for almost 16 years. It has great energy, a fun crowd and fantastic service. It is the place to go for a margarita on a Sunday afternoon (restaurant has a retractable roof) or a fajita dinner with friends. The menu ranges from salads and lighter fare appetizers to enormous burritos, etc. From time... More

We've been there all of our 6 Night in WeHo, because they do have the best mexican food we've ever had. And the magaritas... Oh wow, they are so great. The staff is so lovely. It is an absolutely cool place. They make a to-die-for guacamole and Salsa and the fajitas are so delicious. And you have to try the... More

We ate here whilst staying in West Hollywood. As we are from Scotland we were not really familiar with Tex Mex food. I had shrimp diablo and my husband had a meat dish. They were both very tasty. The service was quick and efficient. Margaritas seemed to be very popular as virtually everyone seemed to be drinking them but as... More

Visited here for the first time back in August 2013, went with locals, great food & plenty of it and great drinks. Next time in LA we will visit again. No Reservations, just add your name to the list at the door and enjoy a great drink at the bar

I came here with my significant other and 2 friends visiting from overseas. They picked it from a previous positive experience a couple years ago. We had a couple of margaritas each in small glasses with an average meal size each. I had a salad, one friend had fajitas and the other two had a combo meal with beans and... More

For almost 20 years Marix has been a staple place in LA....great Margaritas...small, bustling atmosphere and great food. Really, what more do you need? Oh and valet parking so you don't have to search around....

Hive of activity and the food is great, service great and yummy Margaritas. Try a hot sizzling desert serviced with ice cream to top off the meal.

The crowd was fun to watch -- lots of energy in the room, and very attentive staff. Margueritas were so-so (not limey or sweet enough for my tastes). We lived 12 years in Houston, so I think I know Tex-Mex (Lupe Tortillas is my touchstone for fajitas and salsa). I can safely say that Marix has Tex-Mex that it midway... More
