Great little coffee shop and lovely to meet locals

Good service - great coffee and breakfast fare. Bit of a wait for the hot oats but it was fresh made from scratch - well worth the wait! Great place to start the day.

This is a great little coffee house, we ordered a breakfast bagel and Latte each, the food was excellent and the service great. There was a short wait for the food but this only reflects on how popular the place is - absolutely fantastic coffee.

While I admit that I frequent Starbucks more often than not, I love it when I find a great, independent coffee shop. The Cow's End is awesome. The coffee and food are really excellent, the prices are less than Starbucks and the ambience is much better. Loved hanging out with the locals who you can find outside this shop each... More

My brother and I stopped into the Cow's End to try some organic juices and were very impressed with the selection. The staff was also extremely helpful and friendly! We ordered shots of wheatgrass with apple and tried 2 different fruit and veggie juice smoothies. It was a very pleasant stop and everything tasted great!

The sandwiches are absolutely awesome - you select what you want to have on your sandwich from a huge list of ingredients and in no time you have it. Ingredients were always top quality. Staff is very friendly and efficient (queuing up behind 20 people? still no long wait!) When I lived in Venice and Marina del Ray I went... More

A popular place with locals and tourists makes this a great hangout. Lots of delicious choices for fruit/yogurt smoothies as well as healthy sandwiches, wraps etc with a great staff that gets it to you fast. Note- cash only (there is an ATM that charges $2.50 on premise).

Really good coffee. It's no wonder this place is so popular. Be prepared to queue to be served at the counter. They have a loyalty card for a free coffee for regulars.

Really liked the food at this place - very healthy californian stylie - not so great for our two children, who left most of theirs as it had "funny stuff" in it, but I loved my hummous and kale wrap and my husband;s massive salad was pretty delicious too. We went early as we had correctly anticipated that it would... More

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
