Friendly atmosphere

We loved the atmosphere at this cafe. It was very relaxed & friendly with good wifi access. There was an excellent variety of juices & smoothies on offer. The decor was very interesting too!

Great coffee and great food and great service! Felt like a local. Love that the owner was just walking around and talking with people.

You know this place is going to be good when you see the line-up outside the door. Obviously a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The wait is short if you just want a coffee, and a little longer if you're looking for a bite to eat. Great place to stop with a unique vibe. Omelette was tasty with... More

I was recently in Venice Beach with friends for about a week for vacation and we ended up going to The Cow's End every morning to get coffee and people watch. Every morning we would see the same people come through to get their coffee and start their day. The owner came out and talked to us for a while... More

The big chain from Seattle opened on the corner but this place continues to thrive. Better coffee, free wifi, and great seating, inside or out.

Nice, low key place to get some breakfast before a nice walk on the beach-- make sure to have cash with you.

Forget about that Starbucks in the other corner, This cafe is the real deal. A local's favorite spot for coffee fix, Acai bowls, and all kinds of pastries and shakes. Great friendly service, Great location, and great people around.

Long line, but don't worry it's worth the wait. We ordered smoothies and breakfast (acai bowl and breakfast tacos). Everything was good, healthy and fresh. Did not disappoint.

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
