Very good sushi, fresh fish and for LA not thait expensive! We arrived after 10pm on a weekday but still got good service. The interior is authentic. We sat at the bar what was very pleasant.

The sushi that we had here was AMAZING. We had a bit of a tough time finding it but it was worth the search in the dark. Would prob get a cab next time as had to walk past some unsavoury Venice Beach characters. The sushi chefs were really friendly which is nice. There was alot of different things on... More

The surfer vidos, projected larger than life on the walls create the proper surfer ambience. However, prices are high and it's all just OK.

We visited Hama after a recommendation from our hotel -hotel Erwin. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and there is a real buzz in there. Hama was a great place in the 90s. I decided to try it again during a recent business trip. After $60 worth of mediiocre sushi (no alcohol on tab), I found myself having a slice of pizza down the street.

Very well priced, fresh sushi while sitting outside in a heated tent. The service is great and is mostly filled with local regulars.

We sat at the bar with our kids for happy hour where that had a great selection of rolls and other things at a great price. The Venice Roll and the Strawberry Roll were highlights but we found the whole experience extremely friendly and satisfying. The ginger martinis were outstanding!

For a place specializing in sushi I would have expected better. The sushi was OK, barely. The fish was fresh, but hastily prepared, visibly cut in a haphazard way, I would have done it better myself at home. Again, it's OK, but not at the premium price you will pay at Hama. It's also *very* noisy, to the point of... More

This is my favorite sushi place. Love the rolls. They made one up just for me!
