Extremely impressive -- great food

I've been to the Getty Center in Brentwood many times, and have always dined at one of its casual cafes. I had business in LA and came down on Saturday afternoon to visit some museums first, and decided to drive from LAX right to the Getty, as it's open late on Saturday night, and have dinner. Delicious food, gracious service, away from the madding crowd and a good place for a time out on a warm busy day. Wonderful view over the hills and I'm sure at dinner the sunset must be something. A bit on the pricey side. They do take reservations too, although we were there at opening so didn't need one.

The view alone is worth dining at this restaurant. Not a bad view in the place. Fortunately the food matches the view in fabulousness and just made for a great experience. Highly recommend if you are spending the day at The Getty.

Excellent setting and presentation with sophisticated ambiance and food creativity. The views are to die for and the food combinations like their peach salad are amazing. The service is super knowledgeable about the menu and the pairings so you get just the right flavors for a fine dinner.

So happy to know that contemporary dining does not mean you have to shout to be heard by your dining companions. The atmosphere is lovely and the food was surperb. Earlier this week went to a Top 50 LA restaurant and the Getty far exceeds that for sure. Loved the prix fix and also menu items. Can't wait to return.

My wife and I had a delicious lunch at 'The Restaurant' at the Getty. A white tablecloth restaurant with all the perks of a upscale dining experience. The service was professional and our waiter was happy and polite. We ordered the bouillabaisse and my wife had a peach salad. The salad was an appetizer size, which was fine. The bouillabaisse... "The Restaurant" at the Getty Center (Californians like "The" as in "The 405, the 101") is the only game in town other than the cafe, but without competition they simply created something worthy of the superlative location. We got a table outside on a flawless late afternoon, had wonderful service and some amazing dishes. For appetizers, a creative, innovative peach... More

Service great. Salmon cooked as it should be. Vegetables and quinoa appropriately highlighted the meal. Scenery excellent. A nice place to relax or take a break.

Excellent food in a great location. It's a bit expensive, but the service was excellent. The space is very comfortable. We had a Sunday brunch menu, many choices. We spent a full day at the Center, from 10:30 to 6 and a nice full lunch here fit in nicely.
