Few people know how good the Getty Center Restaurant is. By reading this review, hopefully, you will now know and plan lunch or an early dinner there during your visit to the Getty.

It's more expensive that equivalent places, but those places are not in the Getty Centre, offering a wonderful environment and stunning views. So that’s OK. The food is good, service is reasonable, and it’s well worth the money.

I have been to this restaurant one time with my two kids. Dishes are very...very expensive. They are a lot less tasty than they look! Prices are perhaps based on the good looking of the dishes than the taste. I won't suggest this restaurant to anyone.

Dear EverTheBest, Thank you for your review of your lunch at The Getty Center. I certainly understand your concern about the cost of food in the fine dining restaurant. That is why we are very careful to offer dining options at every level. The restaurant features dished created form our local farm to fork partners and items Chef sources from... More

Restaurants at cultural destinations often fall short on food experience or service since they enjoy a monopoly on location. Not this one. My braised beef was excellent and my wife wouldn't share her scallops - even on my birthday! The effort on presentation makes staying for dessert mandatory - I recommend the chocolate.

We had Sunday brunch at the Getty. The food was very good. Portions larger than I expected. Between the appetizer and the entrée was quite full. The service was very good - however getting your first drink took a little longer than expected. It was very relaxing and quiet. I would recommend this restaurant and would certainly go back should... More

The room is very nice. There are great views. It is an excellent place to relax for an hour having lunch during a visit to the museum. The only thing that was off a little was that we had some "misses" on some of the food we ordered, a couple of the dishes should have been better for a place... More

This has been my favorite restaurant in L.A., and we go there on our anniversary every year for lunch. But this year it seemed as if it had slipped quite a bit: the menu was in a plastic sleeve, and the short ribs could have been cooked the day before, a little dry and stringy. No specials, room sort of... More

My wife and I visited the Getty Center since we flew in before noon and our hotel check-in wasn't until 3 PM. We didn't have a reservation (it was a Wednesday) but we got seated promptly for lunch. The Getty Center had a special art exhibit 'Canterbury and St. Albans" which was reflected in the lunch menu, so my wife... More

A visit in January to the Getty Centre was made more memorable by having lunch at the restaurant. Thankfully with it being low season we did not have any problems with an ad hoc reservation, the staff were appropriately attentive without being too obvious. The accommodation is contemporary, spacious and is has the most fantastic views across LA. The food... More

While enjoying all that the Getty Museum has to offer, the Restaurant is not to be missed. They offer a changing menu which keeps things interesting for those who frequent the Museum. Food is well prepared, the views are spectacular and the service very attentive. You should not miss this place because it really completes your day or evening to... More
