Fun Little Place

I went for a business breakfast to Toast and it was just alright. The service lacked, and the food was a bit mediocre. However, the atmosphere is great for people watching.

Michael Connelly includes restaurants in his crime novels, and many times his characters will take someone to Toast. Good enough for me! It's a neat little place with tables on the inside and out. I had the waffle with caramel and bananas! DELICIOUS! My daughter had a breakfast burrito and it was so big she couldn't finish it all. She... More

We had a customized omlette with all fresh ingredients and the Shakshuka (Israeli Huevos Rancheros) with nice chop chop salad. The service was excellent, quick and timely. Get there before 9 on the weekend before the lines start! Valet service is a must (Hey this is LA - $6). Take an outside seat to view the amazing collection of cars... More

Toast has really great soup. I would recommend having some no matter what else you're getting. I happen to like their basic pancakes, but it's all I've ordered in the pancake realm. I'm sure the other pancakes are great, too. . Eggs were done exactly how I ordered and they offer veggie sausage which makes me very happy. The wraps... More

We arrived at Toast for breakfast and were greeted warmly. It's an attractive space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee was very good and our server (Matt) kept it coming while we waited for our entrees to arrive. The huevos rancheros were terrific and a Denver omelet very good. Both were accompanied by a really nice fresh fruit cup.... More

The cake was sublime but we were forced to leave due to the visit of Ariana Grande who couldn't mingle with the public. She made sure the place was empty so she could get her selfish way. Ruined our day in Los Angeles. it happened last summer.

We have been coming here for years and willing to pay the higher prices for decent food since the atmosphere is good and a good scene. But this last time it has seemed to have taken a downturn. It had been over a year since being there due to a relocation and now it seems that the riff raff is... More

Just a couple of streets away from my b & b, I was a frequent visitor for lunch and it was a great place to meet friends. Delicious homemade soups, sandwiches, salads, omelettes.

If there is a wait go ahead and wait. This is one of the best breakfasts around. We waited about 20 minutes on a sunny holiday morning. Indoor or outdoor seating and an eclectic menu await. Breakfast entrees offer potatoes, fruits or a chopped salad side. The chopped salad was a nice compliment to the best huevos rancheros I have... More

Lovely place to have lunch. Good menu, everything well cooked, good quality and well prepared. Pleasant outside dining. Always a line which shows how popular it is. One of the staff - Luigi - is always very friendly and remembers us when we return ( we live in the UK) this always makes you feel special.
