Very good Thai food - kind of upscale

I've eaten here numerous times and it's always good. They have a lot of unique items here that you don't normally get at a lot of Thai restaurants. They just opened a street food restaurant adjacent to this location.

For years and years whenever we visited Los Angeles we went to Talesai, an oasis of calm and sophistication paired with exemplary, refined Thai food. That Talesai is no more. What exists now is Night+Market, a down-market place run by the adult children of the owners. Yet they continue to advertise that Talesai exists. True, if you sit on the... More

Not your typical thai food. Very salty and portions are small. Try it once to see what the hype is about. Do not order your typical thai food here since you will be disappointed.

We decided last minute to go out for Thai on our recent trip to LA. This turned out to be one of our best meals of the trip. The Chicken Curry was amazing!

We enjoy Thai food in Washington, DC, but had no sooner sat to eat at Talesai than we realized we had discovered a new favorite. Really two restaurants (Thai street cafe on the other side of the central bar), we ate in the darker, moody restaurant. We loved our corner table and ordered a variety of our favorites - crispy... I've been looking for a place that serves a good seafood fried rice with fish sauce and Thai chili peppers on the side that tastes like the ones I'd had on the streets of Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Forget Thai town on Hollywood Ave., Talesai Night+Market is it! They also serve Beer Lao, a SE Asia favorite.

I work across the street and one of my coworkers wanted to try out Talesai. I ordered the $10 pad thai that came with a spring roll and side of salad for take out. Spring roll was pretty good. Came with a light clear thin sauce that was decent but nothing crazy. The salad had a very small amount of... More

This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant for the last 17 years. Excellent Thai food, attentive service, good drink menu...I have never been disappointed. I recommend the Chicken Larb (which comes with lettuce leaves), the Hidden Treasures, & Satay appetisers. For main course, we love the Cashew Chicken, Ginger Sea Bass and Masman Curry. Usually leave too full for dessert. We... More

While the food at Talesai on West Sunset was adequate Thai, the service was appalling. It was not merely perfunctory, it was negligent. They had a private party going on in their companion restaurant which was clearly drawing all the attention of the kitchen and the staff. But if you can't handle two things at once well, don't try. The... More

Delicious food. Great service. Held a private party in the night + Market space next door. Well taken care of!
