Really Nice Location

The best thing about the restaurant is the location - next to a creek in a wooded area. Feels like something you might find in Northern California, not near L.A. The service is excellent and everyone is nice. We had a great dinner and our entire party enjoyed it. The wine list is good with many... read more

This is not my first time at The Inn of the Seventh Ray and I can honestly say that I was once again pleased with the meal and the service as well as the atmosphere with the little creek, a duck swimming on the water and the outside dining. We both had the Arrabiatta Pasta dish and it was very... More

When you arrive, the place looks stunning . Gorgeous garden with trees, chandeliers and flowers. You feel you have entered a dream. Joss sticks and chill out music add to the ambiance. We were sat in a stunning location, by a stream , but from the moment we sat down, we were bitten by mosquitoes. They did bring us what... More

I cannot believe I have lived in LA for as many years as I have and not been to this jewel before. A group of six went to celebrate a birthday and it was absolutely lovely. Nestled in the woods by a creek just off Topanga Canyon, you feel as though you are transported to another world. Like magic, a... More

Great to see that the Inn of the Seventh Ray is still going strong...with it's unique location overlooking the creek. The candlelit ambiance is great and the food is good. We went on a Monday night when they have a prix fix menu- 3 courses at the bargain price of $33. Well worth it. Delicious! It was a chilly evening... More

I was fortunate to get a reservation for 2 on Valentines Day here. The atmosphere of the restaurant is second to none for a romantic dinner. With a complimentary chorus of frogs chiming from a nearby creek, we were seated inside the building, close to the fireplace. The tasting menu for that day was excellent and certainly worth the fixed... More

This is the most magical spot. Chandeliers and fairy lights above a flowing creek. It's romantic and down to earth while providing fine dining with fantastic service. We sat outside on a 43 degree evening under three heat lamps and had the most amazing evening. Don't underestimate the chef- the simplest sounding dishes are still a step above. My family... More

We read several bad review but we found this restaurant very nice. Atmosphere was excellent, very romantic and the food was good too. There were very few tables occupied, so I guess I may have been there on a relaxed night, but we have nothing to complain. Would return.

This was our first official romantic date and it was my little night of heaven. Although we were dating for some time, and quite in love, I jokingly complained to Mac that he had never taken me on a real romantic dinner date, so he drove me up the L.A mountains to this very beautiful surprise location. The location is... More
