Best Risotto!

I'm visiting from New Jersey and staying with my cousin for a few weeks. She was talking nonstop about this restaurant and we finally had a chance to go. Usually when people describe a meal as "the best Italian food I've ever had", I'm skeptical. I have been to Italy quite a few times and have... read more

My partner and I dropped in to his favorite Italian restaurant in the city as I had never been there. Madeos is old world Italian. The food is very good. Pricey but very good. I am told the place is frequented by the stars with the papperatzi usually present. We did not see them on this trip. The service is... More

What can I say, every time I have a meal at Madeo's I am thrilled with e experience of dining at this restaurant. Every visit is consistently perfect. Fist of all, the staff is accommodating, responsive without being cloying and overly solicitous. Every request is honor with simple attention to what is needed and carried out. Having the owner come... More

Pros: - Authentic Italian food - Knowledgeable service (our waiter was quinti-lingual and offered off-the-menu dishes to accommodate our tastes) - Atmosphere (dated, but cozy) Cons: - Decor

The families running this iconic establishment having been providing the same quality food and atmosphere for a long time. While it is not an inexpensive meal, you can feel certain that you are getting top-rate food and service every time.

Very popular restaurant in the Hollywood/Beverly Hills area. Very expensive. Very good Italian food. Very expensive. Corkage fee is $35. If it wasn't so expensive, I would go there just for their excellent pizza.

My friend and I had wanted to try this restaurant for a while, so we made a reservation and went for it. We had a 9:45 PM reservation on a Saturday night and we waited around 15 minutes to be seated. We were prepared for this, given all the reviews we'd read were clear about this. It still does not... More

The front desk manager at the Beverly Hilton recommended this restaurant to my husband and I as his "favorite Italian restaurant in the area." It was Saturday night and he did have a difficult time making a reservation, as this place is very busy with regulars on the weekend. We were told that they had seating for 2 at 6pm,... More

Used to go every week and take horrible treatment from staff because it was "the spot" however with time the food got worse, matre'd ruder and wait time longer. After I found a dirty nail in my food and pointed that to a staff member I was attaked and asked to "sit at my table" and "not stand up bothering... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
