Used to go every week and take horrible treatment from staff because it was "the spot" however with time the food got worse, matre'd ruder and wait time longer. After I found a dirty nail in my food and pointed that to a staff member I was attaked and asked to "sit at my table" and "not stand up bothering... More

the food was good, but not exceptional. The tables were so close together that you could barely get in and out... and you heard every word of the conversation next to you. Felt a bit rushed... I'm sure they had many reservations to fill that night.

We had a terrific experience at Madeo on a Thursday night. Our reservation was on the early side which worked out great because when we were done eating at our table, the restaurant was very full. My Osso Bucco was one of the best that I have ever had accompanied by perfectly prepared Rissotto. The Tri Colored Salad App was... More

Owned and operated by the same family for over 50 years (a rarety in LA), Tucked away and only known amongst LA's most excclusive. Madeo is hands down the best dining experience in town with a long standing history of playing host to celebs from Frank Sinatra to the Hiltons and everyone in between. You are guaranteed an incredible meal... More

Great fine dining Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills. First class Italian all the way. Food is outstanding, on par with best east coast Italian restaurants. You might spot a celebrity or two while enjoying your dinner.

One of the best Italian restaurants we have eaten in Hollywood. The owner Madeo introduced himself to us and made sure we enjoyed our meal. I had the Ravioli which was lovely and my daughter ate the spaghetti. job well done. Only complaint would be that the restaurant is located in the basement of a building. so no view. a... More

This is a very famous and delicious restaurant but I don't really like the location or the space. You have to walk down steps into the restaurants and I feel like the ceilings are low or something - there is a general feeling of being cramped. I prefer Cecconi's for good Italian but so many people love it and rave... More

Traditional atmosphere and very classy with fabulous food! Good service, although it could be better or a tiny more authentic. Great selection of wines of overall, Tuscan and Piedmont. Delicious Lasagna, Risotto and deserts. Classic and solid establishment with impeccable service from the time you arrive till you leave.

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
