Exactly as a Classic Deli Should Be

Since I'd heard so much about this place being the greatest deli in LA, I had high hopes for it. The menu is quite extensive so you won't have trouble finding something to order. It's pricey but no more so than other places like it. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be just average. My corned beef sandwich was too... More

As my title says, this food brought me back to wonderful memories of my childhood. While I wasn't raised in the Los Angeles area, I was raised to enjoy great deli food like this was. One finds a wide variety of dishes: starters and noshes, deli appetizers; soup, sandwiches, and salads. I hadn't had such great potato salad since my... More

Whenever we get to Los Angeles, we head first to Factor's Deli for some great food. Both the corned beef and rare roast beef are excellent. But so are the free pickles and delicious bread. My wife loves the smoked fish. There's a lot of characters eating and serving food there too, which makes for good people watching. Parking can... More

This place never ceases to amaze me! From the free pickle appetizers at dinner to the incredibly good corned beef sandwich. The food is a bit pricey but well worth it. We also had breakfast there one day. The waffles are very good and the bacon crisp and thick. If you go, you will be hooked.

Fantastic deli. We'll go back whenever we are in Los Angeles. We are actually heading to Rodeo Drive to Nate and Al's, but since this is in the heart of a Jewish area, it seemed like a smart choice. It is 65 years old. Our waitress was working there 26 years. Delicious mushroom barley soup. A cup is huge. My... More

Doesn't compare to other delis on the Westside. Food is generally good, but service is weak. Last visit the food took too long to arrive, and every time our waiter walked down our aisle, he kept his eyes forward making it impossible to get his attention. I've been here many times, and have always found the service to be uneven.... More

Not sure what's famous about Factor's "famous" Deli, but I've always preferred Nate n Al's up the road on Beverly Drive, 2nd block north of Wilshire. The food here at Factor's is average and of course like most delis, overpriced. Had breakfast here and it was decent. If staying at the Residence Inn across the street, it might be a... More

This deli has been around for a long time and I guess famous people have patronized this establishment. Personally I thought that the menu items that I and my family got were lacking seasonings. I got the Matzo Ball soup for the table because we had never had this soup. It was ok. Chicken broth with noodles and a huge... More

Pastrami advertised as hand cut and tender was not tender and was served cold! Sweet potato fries served cold. Server was very nice in handling problem. Soup was also served (only) luke-warm. Upon paying at cashier and discussing problems, cashier said we should have told server. Sorry, but not inclined to return, even though residing at hotel across the street.
