Consistent, Classic Italian Cuisine

Our family regularly visits Los Angeles, and when we can we eat at Locanda Veneta. The restaurant is small, cozy and the staff, which we have seen in-place for years, is always warm. The food is simply amazing; we ordered the San Remo salad, the Sea Bass and the Lentil spaghetti. All the food... read more

This is a fine eatery with tiny portions of spectacularly Tasty food, wines to die for+ great cheeses for dessert. Very smart service and right opposite the side door of Cedars Sinai medical center if you want to see the doctor. They have a nice gift +book shop too.

I have lived less than a mile from this place for a decade. Went for the first time this weekend, and was blown away. We went for Dine LA Week. Not only was the food very good, the portion sizes were massive. Our table had the stuffed pork chop, chicken, rabbit, veal, and carbonara--all were great.

Fantastic spot for some delicious Italian food. It's pricey and the space is small so make sure to book in advance.

We went for lunch and the soup and salad was delicious. The bread was fresh. The service was good and the atmosphere delightful.Cannot wait to go back and try other entrees.

Food was okay. Our family members had two different pastas and said they were good. We had two different fish dishes and they were average. The meal was not what we would have categorized as good-to-great.

We have been to this restaurant many times, and it continues to be excellent. I would recommend the lamb shank or the chicken. The lamb shank just falls off the bone; be prepared to share the chicken.

How I used to love this place! The food was divine. It was the hot Italian spot in the '80's and '90's. Now the spot is cool and the food is just short of good. While the room is still cozy, I didn't feel warm. Nothing was bad, just not special. Certainly over--priced. The broccoli soup was good, and so... More

With some great travelling companions we hit on this restaurant through them on a Wednesday evening. The place doesn't look great from the outside, inside we loved the old photos of Venice at the start of the 20th century. We found the service and the food were terrific. The owners hand was at the tiller and it shows: knowledge, skill... More

Getting a diner booking at Locanda Veneta is a "plan in advance" event and yet in the past 3 weeks I have been there twice for lunch and it has been relatively empty. I asked why? Answer: because under past ownership the restaurant has been closed for lunch 3 different times for varying periods. Oh boy, what a loss! The... More
