Yummy food!

At first, I wasn't crazy about makin my own food. But it turned out to be a lot of fun. We tried the beef, and beef tongue and even put the edamame on the grill and splashed it with some soy sauce and sweet and sour. It turned out to be soon good! Good place overall

I always visit Gyu Kaku whenever I visit LA (sometimes I go two or three times!) because it's a great experience. The food is delicious, well-priced (or really cheap during happy hour which happens twice a day ) and the experience is fun and different! Definitely give Gyu Kaku a try if you're looking for a great tasting affordable meal... More

Choose from Angus Kalbi Short Rib or other cuts of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, scallops, duck, or various vegetables (the Mushroom Medley and Shishito Peppers are my favorites), then cook over a flaming charcoal grill. Other dishes include Bibimbap, Garlic Noodles, Ramen, deep-fried tofu. The West Los Angeles Gyu-Kaku location is popular post-movie restaurant for Landmark Theatres patrons as well... More

Went to Gyu for dinner by recommendation of my Uber driver and boy oh boy was I in for a treat. First of all I wasn't expecting the grill at your table experience. We ordered everything A la carte and tried a little of this and little of that. I can't remember everything we ate but we had cheese wontons,... More

Walked in around 7pm, greeted and got a seat/grill asap. (it filled up later and had a wait-line) I've never been to guy-kaku before. (shabu shabu but with a grill instead of boiling water) Kinda cool (hot) with grill in the middle. Food server (CJ) explained how it works and made decent suggestions. Order food off the menu and then... More

This is a small place & they don't take reservations, but the food is excellent. The rice dishes are delicious. There is free parking across the street, no need to pay for valet.

Amazing Food, great ambiance, exceptional service, wonderful dining experience! Best times to come are during happy hour or their $2 daily menu from 2pm-5pm. Loved the selection of meats and fish. The Miso butterfish was so tasty that we had to get two orders of it! The garlic noddles were the best! Very flavorful! The spicy cabbage salad was surprisingly... More

During a holiday in LA, we visited the restaurant after reading a few favorable reviews on here. We went not knowing what to expect, not even realising that you ordered food and cooked it yourself on a grill in the centre of your table! We parked up using the valet parking($6.50 for 2 hours) and naively went in hoping to... More

We were first timers and ordered the bbq meal 2 for $60 to get a sampling. Food was good and server Evan was great! Atmosphere is very casual dining.

Tripadvisor shows this as being in Los Angeles, but it's actually just outside of the Huntington Beach area. If you're looking for a place to go to have a few really cheap drinks then this is the place for you. If you go during Happy Hour, their draft Saporro beer is amazingly cheap and it's in the largest mug I've... More
