Hide Sushi on Sawtelle Avenue in West Los Angeles offers excellent sushi, served either at tables or at the sushi bar. The sushi is very tasty and made with very fresh ingredients and tasty seasoning. You also may order standard Japanese fare from the menu, if you prefer. This restaurant is informal and quite small, with perhaps 12 to 15... More

We visited here with friends; freshest sushi we had on this trip. Good portions, quick service, good value.

Hide Sushi is a small intimate sushi restaurant with a great assortment of sushi and tempura. You will not be rushed to eat and your server will be of great help in selecting sushi. They can make sushi to taste as we ordered a roll spicy even though it's not that way on the menu. Very relaxing way to end... More

I've been to Hide Sushi here and there over the past few years. It's been some time since my last visit so we went Sunday evening b/c my husband felt like sushi, but not at Sasabune prices. There's a 20 minute wait which wasn't too bad. They took our order quickly, service was really good considering how busy it was... More

We love Sawtelle for the excellent choice of Ramen restaurants but never tried sushi in the area. We had passed by Hide Sushi many times and always thought we had to stop one day. Loved the place and the friendly service. Not sure what else to add, if you love sushi this is your spot. You won't be disappointed. Prices... More

Hide sushi was named after the family patriarch over 30 years ago. The restaurant is small but that adds to the cozy feel. The staff is generally on top of things and they are friendly. While this is not the best sushi restaurant, it might be the best value. Fresh sushi with reasonable prices are what you find...can't beat that.... More

Hide is not easy to find, they take only cash, and they've been around for ages. In the proliferation of Asian dining choices on this section of Sawtelle, Hide distinguishes itself by having great traditional teriyaki and sushi dishes. Try the churashi bowl, sashimi on top of seasoned rice with omelet and mushroom and seaweed mixed in. Big advantage: they... More

Hide was packed for lunch on a Sunday, so we tried again for dinner. The restaurant is cash only, so bring yours. The wait was not over long, smoothed by a Kirin that we shared. I was anxious to try the toro, but they were, alas, out of that for the day. Our chef, Kan, looked out for us as... More
