This place might be a little TOO authentic. The sushi is amazing made with high quality ingredients. But all you'd go here for is the food. Full stop. Period. Point. The staff are rather brusque, the environment is very basic and the prices are so high my wife thought I'd eaten for two when she saw the credit card bill.

I really had to put some time between my visit before I posted this. I didn't want my emotions to taint my review, but even now, weeks later, I still feel the same way. I felt the meal was a 1 star, but am bumping it up to 2 b/c staff was pleasant and sushi chef seemed very nice. I... More

I'm very glad a Japanese business associate took us out that night, because the total for our omakase (chef's choice) ran to $225 per head before liquor. That being said, I've been going to Japan regularly since 1980 and this was hands down the best Japanese sushi and sashimi I've had anywhere, anytime, with the exception of one sushi house... More

This is some good sushi - there is no sign outside just a fish. I lived in the area for over 15 years and I loved that I could walk here too. Besides R-23 this is the BEST. Period

This guy knows his sushi. As said in other reviews he grows his own rice and grades his own wasabi. It is an amazing sushi experience. Highly recommend to all true sushi aficionados.

Mori is a genius. He knows how to combine the traditional sushi cuisine with the creative trends of fusion. Let him guide through a trip of savors. The presentation of dishes is also pleasing the eye. Compared to the variety and exclusiveness of dishes, the wine list is modest and should be definitely improved.

We lived in Tokyo and have eaten more sushi than I can count. Unfortunately, Mori Sushi is does not even match some local places though it cost many times their amount. The sushi was not fresh, in fact it was still a bit frozen. The service was poor, and in fact the place was worn and dirty. We were sad... More

Best sushi I've had so far. The price is a bit high but well worth it. This is one of few sushi bars that grind fresh wasabi roots. Their "omakase" is just amazing.

We went there last week with my family. What a terrible mistake that was. Firs of all, we got greeted with attitute once they saw my two year old and declared there is no high chair or booster. Then it got worse and worse and worse. Service was lousy where as the restaurant was practically empty. And then the food.... More
