Stick to the basics and you'll have an awesome meal!

If you want authentic good homestyle cuban cuisine - this is my number 1 place to go. It's casual, not upscale by any means, but I would NOT classify this as a whole-in-the-wall type place. It's large portions of well-priced (not cheap), well-made cuban food, with no pizazz. There are other... read more

Although it's been a while since I've been, Versailles has always been my favorite Cuban restaurant! Many friends and family that have attended more recently than me have said it's still awesome and the food still wonderful. Wish they had one where I live. Oh dare to dream..... If you get a chance to try out this jewel of a... More

This place is famous for it's chicken and several of our party enjoyed the huge half chicken portions served in a variety of ways. I had the Mahi Mahi special which was served in garlic butter with a side of fried plantains. It was delicious. The restaurant was very noisy making conversation extremely difficult. Dinner for 4 with tax, tips... More

I frequently this restaurant often when I lived in LA 10 years ago. After a recent visit, I understand why it's legendary. They still have many of the same wait staff as they did in previous years. And the food is still top-notch - some of the best Cuban food I've ever had.

Party of 5. I ate at a Versailles in Miami, FL. It was outstanding. This place was just meh! Chicken was edible. Plantains were excellent as were the rice and beans. We had it in a combo with roast pork. The bread that everyone else got was missing. We also had yucca which was yummy but their signature dish was... More

I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I didn't. This place is always pretty busy so I was expecting a very good meal. The bread they bring out before the meal was my favorite part. Soft and garlicky, just delicious. The beer was cold as well. That is where the good ends. Ordered the Cuban sandwich and the... More

Not that I have a problem with the atmosphere, it's a decent establishment. My issue is that I cannot devour the food in a way that would be deemed acceptable by the public (outside of a zoo setting). The BBQ chicken meal -- my mouth is watering just thinking of it. Rice, beans, plantains -- can't really go wrong here.... More

Always a 5 star restaurant but my last visit Feb 27, 2015 was a little disappointing , my usual favorite the Garlic Lemon chicken was rather dried out and while waiting I noticed the priced had increased on other items since my last visit,

I like latin food, cuban is a great cuisine. This is a great place to try if you are new in the Cuban kitchen; either way if you already enjoy this type of food is great option, great service just a little bit slow when they have to bring the check... tasty.

The Versailles is somewhat of an institution in Culver City. Always attracts a crowd. While busy service is Ok....not great. Waited over 10 min. to pay the bill. The menu is extensive offering a full range of Cuban delicacies. However the sauces are very conservative bordering on bland. I ordered the Carne Con Papas - Beef Stew "Tender boneless chunks...
