This is a very small restaurant so make reservations! It is a very cool Old Hollywood haunt! The food is great and the waiters are campy! I had the house salad with Italian dressing (of course!) and ravioli with spinach and cheese in marinara sauce. My date had the anchovies and peppers appetizer and Shrimp Diablo (hot..okay the Diablo and... More

A truly enjoyable evening with first class food, highly recommended.

We were lucky to get a booking here on a Friday night, the place was heaving with a queue outside. Inside it's like being transported to another world, a timeless home style Italian restaurant complete with chequered tables. I could see why celebrities choose it, great for hiding in. We had the mozzarella marinara and garlic toast for starters and... More

We had such a great time at Dan Tana's. Loved our waiter and he invited the Chef to come out to meet us. Were all Croatian so it was a pleasure. The food was fantastic, we loved everything especially the pasta with pot roast, the best I have ever had! I call it a dinner and a show. Awesome food... More

This was one of our favorite dinners in LA...The pasta was amazing and the staff was funny/entertaining. My favorites were the Ravioli and Lasagna=) Definitely would go back!!

This is our 'go-to' restaurant when we are in the mood for a really good steak. Went on our anniversary and the service and food was as terrific as ever. I hope they never change.

My wife and I ate dinner in June of 2015. We had read the reviews of Dan Tana's and wanted to try it out. The setting was a little crowded, but nothing I haven't seen before. It seemed like there were several people there that were regulars, as the waiters seemed to know several people at several tables. We had... More

The wait staff are irritated they must 'wait' on your table, disappear after the bland and boring food arrives so I think they are embarrassed of the poor quality too. There is no garlic flavor at all in this so called Italian Restaurant. The food was a major disappointment and having to endure loud obnoxious barkeeps too, just put this... More

We had time to kill before doors opened next door at the Troubadour, so we decide to have a bite here. You would swear you're walking into the past--checkered tablecloths tuxedoed waiters, tons of dark wood. The service is excellent and the menu was varied. The caprese salad was easily big enough for a main course. Definitely worth a visit!

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
