I didn't even get to taste the food. The waiter went out of his way to make a disrespectful comment to me saying, “I don’t see how you’re sitting here with these white people.” My coworkers an I very offended by his comment so we left.

We came here with the family after reading great reviews. Was not totally impressed . It's a small old style atmosphere... One waiter was great very friendly... All others as well as the busers were not friendly nor attentive. The food was good .. Very big portions... Overall I would say it was overpriced .

We stayed just up Santa Monica Blvd and someone mentioned this place to visit. After seeing reviews I was tentative that this may be a place that favoured "regulars". We arrived half an hour early and were shown to the bar. The Maitre D' came part 10 minutes later and asked where we were from and when we said Australia... More

Booked this restaurant on a recommendation. Worried about it on arrival as it's an old doorway. Restaurant very old but welcoming. Like other reviewers the food is so tasty but extremely heavy, so don't order a lot. However we never got to order, the waiter ordered for us. Good choices! Lucky man....

We heard about this restaurant while on a tour of celebrities' houses, and we were told that it was popular with some celebrities! We ended up eating here after we went out for dinner one evening to find Beverley Hills completely empty and quiet-which was a bit of a disappointment. We explored a bit trying to find somewhere that was... More

Great night had by all. The atmosphere is fantastic, so much happening, lots of regulars, people every where, bar is totally packed!!! Food is excellent. Try the Caesar Salad, it mixed in front of you traditional style. There was 5 of us so we had a big mixture of meals, all good. I debated about booking this restaurant but I... More

Dan Tana's is a real institution. It's straight out of central casting, with the maitre'd in a tux. Reservations are necessary but even when you are on time they make you wait. The food is heavy with red sauce. Go for the show

Ok I live in New Zealand and travel to the US for my work - for the past 18 years I have been going here- great service and fantastic food - I eat at the bar as most the time I'm on my own - they have the best drinks and it's kind of old school . Enjoy!

Dan Tana's has old school 1950's italian style and charm. The staff is great, they have been around for decades, always a good time. The place get's packed early, I would recommend making reservations. The bar is busy, but the service is quick, the bartender makes a great martini. The caesar salad made from sratch table side is great, NY... More

This was the third time I have eaten here. Old School Italian. Great food, lots of fun, Celebrities frequent this restaurant. this is not a quiet restaurant so don't come for a quiet low key meal. My wife and I do love it though. We split the spaghetti with clams and it was great
